"Good location. The unit has Japanese tatami room, which was a good experience while staying. There is no reception, but all the necessary stuff was well prepared."

"Stair inside the room that can directly goto the other room without door/gate. Feel not safe if stranger live downstair, also not safe if young kids walking around. The toilet without any ventilation fan, make it a bit smelly. Parking area is not big enough for 2 car, maybe is the parking instruction not show clearly how to park the car. The instruction should show how two car parking in the parking area. This house better for those who only need sleep."

"We had a lovely stay at SHIKKUI Cottage. The property itself is modest and charmIng and is located on a very steep hill. If you are backpacking without a car like us, make sure you’re ok trekking up and down the mountain with all your gear! "

"It's a lovely small property that can hold a surprising amount of people very easily. It's slightly on the older side, however the owner is very attentive and will fix issues on the spot if notified. The area also has some of the best views surrounding the town, and has a very active downtown full of places to visit!"

"I think the overall experience staying at Grand Otaru was pleasant and enjoyable. However, the room we stayed in had a slight odor, and while the ocean view was nice, an old wall partially obstructed the full scenery. The daily buffet could also be improved, especially when compared to the outstanding experience at Tsuruga Forest Akan Resort. Nevertheless, I still gave the hotel 5 stars, as Otaru itself left an unforgettable impression with its magical city vibe."
"It was great experience with Unwind. I like the design of the hotel. Room is clean and well designed whereby I found everything I need. The hotel also offers free wine tasting everyday so please don't miss it if staying with the hotel. "
"The hotel is located very centrally - only one block away from the Otaru canal. The immediate area featured tons of dining options. The room was small but very clean and functional. My only very minor complaint is that there is no coffee maker in the room. Everything else was great and I would definitely stay there again. "
