"Hotel was great. Kyoto is bigger than I expected. Hotel is great, but not walkable enough to tourist areas, although there was a metro station very convenient and close by . Quiet and safe area. Laundry area small had to wait a while"

"Room wasn’t fully clean when I arrived. You should note there are no windows in the hotel so natural light and seeing what the weather is like isn’t an option. Nice arrival touch with matcha and free coffee but it’s a very basic hotel. The room itself wasn’t at all clean. Stains by the toilet which meant I needed to pop a mat down as it felt unhygienic using it. A very wobbly tap sink. Stains on the furniture and walking out of your room you were treated with dirty laundry and horrible smells. It was fine for one night for the price but I wouldn’t go back in a hurry. Great as a low-budget option but cleanliness is high up for me plus having natural light. Also pictures weee misleading as it seemed there would be a bath in the room. "

"Loved the Hot Spring option that was available for all guests. The breakfast was delicious and authentic with plenty of options both for western and Japanese flavours. Even though the hotel was very big and in a great location, the staff were always kind and helpful. "
