Nice One failing in little things...
Really nice Hotel! But unfortunately we arrived at the airport but our shuttle, that was included, wasn't there!!!! So we had to take a taxi to the hotel! No apologies from nobody!!! The rooms are nice but on our balcony door was a curtain missing and you can't use the big mirror over the sinks unless you sit on the floor or bend right over the sinks! The room and bathroom are super nice and clean! We tried to eat dinner but is was very hard to find something for me that was available, as I can't have anything with oil! They have a western menu but almost nothing is available! English is very limited! It's a nice and quiet hotel though! But don't expect to much!!!

There is tons of potential!! After reading previous reviews we had high expectations. Overall it was a pleasant stay. Positives: free drink daily, friendly staff, beautiful grounds and nice room, transfer back to the airport. Needs improvement: cleanliness of the shower in our room and the grout of the pool. Airport pick up could improve. had to call the hotel to have them come and pick us up even after confirming the day before. Overall we had a pleasant stay. The general manager went above and beyond to teach my husband how to make pork belly the way he had. Thank you

I emailed the hotel 3 times after booking (both by personal emails and leaving message on their web page). However, they never replied to me. When I arrived the hotel in the morning with my own transportation, the lady at the reception counter gave an expression that I was not expected. She kept pulling a long face and I was ordered to take a seat. Though I got a welcome drink, I did not feel I was welcomed. Nevertheless, the man who later showed me my room was polite and friendly. At checkout, they mix up my massage bill with someone else. The hotel is beautiful, room is spacious and comfortable, breakfast and massage are both very good. There is large bath in guestroom but the water from the tap is a bit yellowish. The booklet in room has mentioned that tap water is not suitable to drink. The hotel is not close to tourist spot but they can arrange one way shuttle to downtown. The hotel probably is next to certain religious venue, when I was back to the hotel on a Saturday night, I heard strange music. However, once you closed your room door, you won't hear it again. The problem was the next morning at about 6am, I was waken up by loud prayer which was broadcasted via loudspeaker, it was so loud that I felt like in the middle of the gathering even with all the door tightly closed. It continued for some half an hour and definitely no possible to sleep. As I only stay for one night, I am sure whether it is only an issue for Sunday morning.

Very modern
Clean and comfortable. Airport pick up and drop off great. Free tuk tuk to pub street or old market area is a huge help. Staff extremely friendly and helpfull with little things - like sending someone to change money for us. The only thing that can be done better is to make check in and check out faster - it was very slow. We loved our stay at the Chronicle.

Best hotel in Siem reap
This is a beautiful boutique hotel and the service is first class. There provide free airport transfer and free tuk tuk to town or any place you want to go within 5km. Breakfast was good with choices for you to select. Room are large for the price you pay.

Quality hotel away from city centre
High quality hotel, about 45 mins' walk from the centre (although being a pedestrian in Cambodia is a challenge) or $3-4 by tuk tuk. Collection from airport didn't materialise but they provided transport back. Good breakfast (mix of local and western with veggie options) and the restaurant was good too. Hotel organised a tuk tuk driver (Mr Tong) for 3 days to do the temples; less than $70 for grand and small tours, some further out temples and sunset trip and he was great. Lovely staff, nice room (and good pool).

Great place to stay.
Hotel is really well set out, the rooms are spacious & in the main it is quiet & peaceful. The hotel is very clean, the food is very nice and the staff are really friendly. They arranged all our transport needs & picked us up from town whenever we called them. The pool area is relaxing & private. Not much in the immediate locality but a 5-10min tuk tuk ride & you are in the hub of Siem Reap or Angkor Wat. Would recommend hotel & stay there again without hesitation.

Excellent service and very nice hotel. Modern, clean and comfortable. Hotel provides free shuttle to /from airport and tuk tuk to town for shopping/dining. Can also book tuk tuks tours to angkor wat, small temple tours which include angkor wat, bayon, ta prohm, big temple tour which brings you to temples further away such as preah kahn, elephant terrace and a nice temple that was build on water etc. Also, sunset and sunrise tours and temple in outlying areas such as bantaey srei. Reasonable price and very friendly and honest driver. Makes my visit so pleasant.

The hotel was great, perfect 30 minutes free welcome massage, food on the restaurant was really good and also really cheap. The room was really nice, we got the pool view. Close to the center. Perfect attention. Definitely will recommend it.

Beautiful boutique hotel with salt water pool
We arrived really early in the morning and although our check in time was not until 2pm, the staff at the hotel graciously allowed us an early check in at no extra charge. The room was private, very spacious and had a great view of the saltwater pool. Room service was reasonably priced and there was free tuk-tuk service into town until 10pm everyday. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously and highly recommend this hotel.

worth the money
Hotel service is very good. They have a free transport around the city and airport pick up and drop off. The package that i purchased has a free body massage as well. The room is spacious and they have a huge bathtub just don't forget to bring your own bubble bath. It has a resort ambiance and it is a villa type hotel where you can open the balcony and dive straight into the pool if you are in the ground level. They have a welcome gift and drink plus a platter of fruits to be delivered in your room. The only downside is the breakfast. They have limited options. For the restaurant, I made a 30min advance order for lunch yet when we arrive not even one dish is ready and that made our plans a bit tight.

The air conditioning was not functioning in my room and needed to transfer to another hotel at night upon my request. Apart from this, the hotel was great with nice decoration, clean, spacious room and helpful staff.

Best hotel of our trip
My girlfriend and I spent 2 weeks beteeen Vietnam and Cambodia and we loved this hotel! The staff was so helpful and friendly and spoke great English. Right when you walk in you can see that the place is beautiful. Food there was great and so was the spa. Shout out to Phawa who was an excellent bartender!

Very nice boutique hotel in Siem Reap.
Lets review some other aspect of the hotel. The food quality at restaurant is very good. A main was around $6 which was similar to in town. Considering its room service and could be ordered 9pm at night, that's no bad. The BBQ opposite to the hotel also good. $6 buffet all you can eat excluding drinks. As I said before, this hotel provides free drop off and pick up service in town. Staff always on time and super efficient. It was the guests who had order pick up but no show or late causes the problem. Please be considerate.

My experience at this hotel was simply fantastic. One reason why I chose small boutique hotel rather than chained well known one was the kind of personal touch that makes you feel special, not just another customer. All the staff at this hotel deserves credit. Every time they see you would greet you, welcome you home when back. You ask receptionists for a drop off in town, he would quite possibly himself drive the tuk tuk. Very impressive. The hotel has fewer than 20 rooms I guess, that means fewer guests. Pool usually all yourselves. No noise no tour group. Thats all we want. The hotel is contemporary design. Room is spacious and clean albeit mosquito on ground floor rooms would be problem for some. I borrowed an electric mosquito zapping thingee and I could easily kill 10 within 5 mins. After initial 3 nights, situation settled down as all had been killed. Massage service (Kakrona) at the site is highly recommended. Very competitively priced and quality service. Although location is 15 mins from town, surrounding also nothing much interests, their pick up and drop off service makes it not an issue for us. By the way, they have cancel mobile phone providing service now. So we had to confirm returning pick up time everytime or use your own mobile to call them in town. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for quiet, quality stay.

Wonderful hotel
It's close enough to Pub Street yet far enough from the hustle and bustle. The hotel restaurant is great, where we had our dinner for 4 out of our 5 nights stay, 1st night dinner at Pub Street. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The room is big and comfortable, no bathroom door though, not a problem for couples. Hotel wifi is a pain, more than half the time not usable. Only one mirror in the bathroom is a bit of an inconvenience. The complimentary airport transfer and transport to & fro Pub Street is excellent. We'll stay again if we go to Siem Reap again.

Great Value
We just left from our 3-night stay at the hotel. Our great experience started with the free pickup from the airport (make sure you contact the hotel to reserve beforehand). Check-in was smooth and easy considering we arrived at 11pm. Upon entering the room, it was spacious, well designed, and felt very cozy. We went with the ground floor king size room with a view to the pool. Couldn't have been happier (since swimming is semi-discouraged at night as lights were off, you don't need to worry about noises from the pool). It was a small boutique hotel so we saw at most 3 people by the pool during our stay. Pros: Very good breakfast (fish congee, fried rice, and watermelon juice are highly recommended), free round trip airport transportation, free tuk tuk to town, excellent service at breakfast, quiet at night, and a very nice and clean pool (the staff cleans the pool every morning at 6am). Cons: Spotty wifi, lack of shelf in the shower area for my own stuff, lots of mosquitoes (as ground floor rooms are surrounded by water with goldfish in it), and bug stains on the room wall. We didn't go with the hotel tour to Angkor wat but did notice the price to be higher and the car was a bit tired (old honda CR-v). We went with Angkor Tuk Tuk Travel for the 2 day tour and it was a Lexus RX300. The hotel will prepare a to go breakfast basket for your sunrise tour. It comes with a cute little basket with bread selection (toast, croissant -plain and chocolate) and fruits.

The Chronicles hotel is just 10 minutes away from the temples and 15 minutes from the center of the city. Upon our arrival the staff was incredibly welcoming and had everything for our activities perfectly organized, they made us feel very welcome. The hotel offers many amenities so even though it is not in the center of the city the free tuk tuk helps you get around very quickly. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and the breakfast is varied including both Cambodian and Western style options. The staff and how nice they were, was thebest part of the hotel.

Well worth it
Looking at the Chronicle from the street doesn't do the hotel justice for what lies inside. Very nice hotel with a reasonably small number of very spacious, clean rooms. The A/C effectively eliminates the constant humidity from outside. The king bed is very comfortable. Nice walk-in shower and water doesn't spray everywhere. Very artisitic presentation of flowers in the bathtub and sink when you walkin. And the staff are probably the best part - they take care of everything for you, and are the nicest people you could meet. Hotel will arrange for a personal tuk-tuk to take you everywhere in the local area for the whole day. Excellent service. Definitely consider this location when you're preparing for trip to Angkor Wat....or just come to visit the hotel and relax.

This hotel is just excellent the best We were met with a welcoming snack and showed to our room spacious and very clean facing the pool,just heaven. Plenty of hot water,good air con,good wifi. The meals were of a good standard and served with style and enthusiasm.A nice view looking out from the dining room which was spotless The hotel offers an in house Tuk Tuk service to see Anga Wat for under $20 US the driver is available to you at all times with cold water.I strongly recommend you use this service as you don't have constant sales of further drives and you are returned to the hotel. We like to explore with map and compass..The hotel gave us a phone and when we had enough we called and were promptly collected at no charge and met with a refreshing cold towel at the hotel The driver wears the hotel uniform so you know you are in safe hands At the end of our very pleasant stay we were driven at no charge to the airport To all of the staff,i wrote you names down but lost the list..You are very professional in your service This hotel has our strongest recomendation

The staff at this hotel are really helpful with everything from baggage to planning daily activities to driving you to local sites and giving you a cell phone to call them to request pick up, etc. The room was really beautiful and we loved the pool area where you could order food/drinks and they'd deliver it to you. We had two really small lizards friends in the room but they were harmless so no big deal. I just made sure to close my bags because I didn't want to accidentally bring one home with me! The staff were so nice, they gave us a scarf as a welcome gift and it was great to cover our face with the rest of the time when going on the tuk tuks. When we were checking in we were given a half hour free massage so we decided to add on another hour massage beause the prices were decent and it was heavenly! I loved their spa! Also, our flight came in late and we hadn't had dinner and room service hours were only til 10 pm so they made an exception and cooked up some pasta for us which was really nice. Overall, this was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at.

This place is a little hidden treasure. From the moment we were greeted at the airport to the minute we left everything was amazing. The staff so friendly and helpful. From the complimentary local tuk tuk transport; our complimentary 30 minute spa treatment; breakfast; tour services; swimming pool all were outstanding.

My stay is pleasant. Very nice service and people there. They offered airport picked up service and free shuttle to downtown. The breakfast is tasty. They also have free massage. very relaxing. Just there are ants crawling the table that annoys me. It is a hotel built in a not that nice neighbor, still safe. I stayed there two nights and I felt very happy and welcoming.

The BEST hotel ever!
Was totally blown away by the quality of service here. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, and go the extra mile to make your stay amazing. The rooms were stunning and great value for the price, and the pool is beautiful. We also ate at the restaurant and the food was good value too. The spa was a lovely experience and we were so pleased to have a free massage when we arrived. There is also a free tuk-tuk service that will drive you into town. Really couldn't have chosen a better place to stay!

The hotel have free tuk tuk to drive to the town within 15mins away and the reception will give you a mobile for you to call back to the hotel to pick you up, if you planing not to buy a SIM card in Cambodia this is convenience. And the hotel stuffs are nice too.

Amazing Stay!
We loved our stay at Chronicle Residence & Spa! From the free pick up at the airport to the free tuk tuk service into town. They even gave us a cell phone so that we could give the front desk a call once we were ready to be picked up. All the staff at Chronicle Residence & Spa were and so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were nice and clean and very nicely decorated. This hotel made our stay in Cambodia very memorable.

Oasis Amongst the Temples
Couldn't have asked for more from our stay in Siem Reap! Chronicle Residence & Spa made everything easy and welcoming. The staff spoke perfect english, and anticipated our every need. The room itself was spacious with tons of natural light! The bedding was plush and soft, so it kind of made it hard to get up in the morning. Haha Though when you did there was a yummy breakfast waiting for you! The hotel set up a temple tour for us, and we were paired with the nicest and patient driver! He answered our questions and gave us trips throughout of the tour. Once we got back, we got a massage at the Spa! Fantastic! The hotel is located on a road away from downtown, but they supplied you with a complimentary transfers (which only took like 10 mins). All of this for a great fair price! It was beyond what we expected. Highly recommended. We would stay again if we revisit this quaint city.

The best hotel I've stayed in
We were travelling with my 2 elderly parents and all loved this hotel. We got a room on the 1st floor with a pool view while my parents got a room on the ground floor. Even though the hotel is located by the main road you won't realise it once you enter the hotel. Service was excellent and the staff took really good care of us.The staff at this hotel were so friendly and accommodating, the best we've encountered so far in our travels. The free tuk tuk ride to town was a bonus as the hotel is located 15 min out of town. They even cleaned the room twice a day. Definitely the best hotel we've stayed in so far. Will definitely recommend this hotel to all who will be going to siem reap.

We LOVED staying here and we stay at a lot of 4 and 5 star hotels. The service was amazing -- from the greeting with fresh juice and pineapple to making all arrangements for tuk-tuks to tour the sites. They have their own tuk tuks so it's very safe and they are all so friendly. A full day with a private tuk tuk tour was only $17. Also, it's resort style so everything gets added to your tab which is great. We ate a dinner and lunch at the hotel and food was fantastic -- on par with the places in town (or better if you get the Amok). Being a new hotel they offered us a complimentary massage and we enjoyed it very much. They are still training some staff, but they are working so hard to learn that it's endearing and we couldn't help but smile. When I did research on hotels in Siem Reap there were a lot of nice ones with many more reviews...we took a chance on this one and are so glad we did. Seriously, unless your budget is 2x+ this rate, you won't find anything comparable.

Friendly staff, excellent service. New hotel, clean and modern. Free transport services and they even give you a mobile phone to call for tuktuk service back to the hotel. Great food and good spa. Great location, 5min tuktuk ride from the city centre.
