Likely once a very nice place, it was clearly very run down. The pool was very dirty, grounds needed upkeep and while our room was very large, it was run down. Turn on the shower, water starts dripping from the ceiling as well and it took an hour for it to alll drain. Breakfast was very poor quality, close to ineatable. Staff were nice, but didn’t seem to understand their job. We arrived late though our room was not prepped and was very hot. It took AC a few hours to cool it and with an 11pm arrival, it was hard to sleep, then roosters from next to the property started crowing at 4am. It did feel safe and in a walkable area, but no longer a 4 star place.

The hotel is located in a very residential part of town. I will admit it was not what we expected and was certainly off the beaten path. The staff was extremely accommodating in every regard. The hotel is a five star for where and what it is. If you are looking for a luxury, this is not your hotel. No elevator and our rooms were on the fourth floor. I had a huge balcony overlooking the neighborhood. We took a took a taxi or tuk tuk wherever we wanted to go and felt more than safe traveling that way, but I probably would not advise walking alone at night to visitors. The hotel is very near the night market and restaurant such as the Hard Rock Cafe, which was an excellent place to go for food and drinks And plenty of local shopping!! Also the last night there, I lost my iPhone. Even using find my lost phone did not really help because streets are marked differently. I was in an absolute panic when the tuk-tuk driver came back running in, out of breath looking for me to return my phone!! He was apologizing that he didn’t find it sooner! He was also the airport driver for the hotel, so you can definitely count on hotel staff! We were served a delicious western breakfast, made to order with fresh local fruit, which included in our stay. We loved visiting Cambodia and would recommend this hotel if you want to stay closer to the locals in the action of Pub Street & the Night Market.

The hotel was located in a quiet street and just a 10 minutes walk to Pub Street and several tourist attractions. The hotel is fairly new and the room was large. However, the room did look abit run down. The tv was down for several days and the staff didnt even make an attempt to take alook at it nor call up the cable company. Otherwise, staff were friendly but they mostly had very limited knowledge about the various do's & don'ts in Siem Reap. Best to rely on your own research and phone for directions.

The hotel was really spacious and very comfortable. The weather was ridiculously hot so the air conditioning was working well. The floor needs to be swept and then given a good scrub because it was really dirty. Big bath was really refreshing and relaxing. Staff always very helpful and friendly. Breakfast menu was OK. Very close to the restaurant and Pub Street.

Amazing be breakfast menu and staff. No elevator so be ready to use the stairs. Great location. They close and lock the main front door at night so you have to knock and get them to open it. Front is staffed 24hrs a day.

Tucked away in an alley in the city center, this is a little gem. From the greeting beverage to the espresso bar and gourmet freshly made breakfasts, this is a cool place to venture from. The rooms are modern, clean and the air conditioning actually really works amazingly well. The staff is eager to please and accommodate all requests for tour and other bookings you may want during your stay. Limited English language spoken by staff? No problem at all. I recommend this hotel when in Siem Reap.

Super pleasant & Convenient Place to Stay
The staff gave us a warm welcome and helped arrange pick-up from the airport. Everyone is nice at the hotel. When we went out one day, the dudu car driver did not know the hotel address, we called the hotel and the receptionist explained to the driver the routes. The breakfast is wonderful with both western and local choices. They can help contact local SPA store to come to the hotel to do massage for us. It was very comfortable to do the massage at the hotel. It was tiring after a full-day walking. You may not want to go outside to do SPA. You will pay for the massage at check-out. I forgot my watch at the last day, the staff at the hotel found the watch and gave it back to me. Superb services.

Rooms were big and tastefully decorated, with a lot of light, sofa, seating area and fridge. Pickup-drop-off airport is very convenient and the location is within 5 min walking from any interesting place apart from Angkor. Breakfast is not buffet, but has enough options to satisfy. Highly recommend this luxury hotel to everyone who's travel to siem reap.

The staff couldn't have been nicer. Don't let the alley fool you it opens up into a little oasis in the city. They set up our tuk-tuk for our two day Angkor Wat and Thom excursions, they have contracted tuk-tuks for the hotel so typically you only have to deal with a few people. Lovely staff just made being away from home so much easier didn't want to leave.

Room is big with all necessity.. Free tuk tuk transfer but i paid driver for his great service (Dorn). Abt 10 types of Free breakfast to choose from. Hotel in a dark alley at night,Lady please alight at entrance. 10minutes walk to Night Market and Pub Street. If you got free time, please visit the orphanage , with Dorn I bought 50kg of rice n necessity to the children. Dorn is willing to drive you there.

Terrific find in Siem Reap
Fantastic hotel, would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family. Room was large, AC functioned well, WiFi was generally responsive, staff were friendly and approachable, rainfall shower was high up & easy to get to just the right temperature, morning breakfast was tasty with both Western and local options, quiet area yet the hotel is within easy walking distance to the main nightlife zone. I chose this hotel for its high rating, and left feeling it was all very deserved. The only drawback for some travellers will be the lack of an elevator -- it's all stairs between floors, and you might need to go up three or four flights of stairs to reach your room.

Great service and hotel The hotel staff were so accommodating and helpful. Breakfast selection was good. The hotel is clean, staffs are helpful and polite, it’s close to the center, with only a couple dollars will get you to the downtown area, night life is fantastic in downtown area. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

You won’t find a better hotel for the money in Siem Reap. Staff very friendly, pool amazing and the bathroom in the rooms is of 5* hotel standard. Wouldn’t stay anywhere in Siem Reap!

Friendly hotel in Convenient location
The room was very spacious and tastefully decorated. Free water, tea and coffee were very nice. On the first day I checked in, the refrigerator didn't work but they sent someone to fix immediately. Overall, I enjoyed staying here and I will return on my next visit.

Great stay
The property is nice and hidden. You would not expect it from the alleyway entry. The breakfast is ok and you are limited to one dish per person. The rooms are large and spacious. Beds are comfortable. Separate tub, shower, and toilet are a bonus too. Would recommend staying here.

The place to stay when in Siem Reap
This newly opened Monthara Angkor Residence a Gem in Siem Reap... don't think twice stay here, super clean and very hospitable staff. (everyone knows your name and is super helpful) Its location is great in the centre of everything the night market is within walking distance 5min. Staff are amazing they arranged for us a guided tour of the Angkor sites.

Just WOW!!!
The staff at Monthara Angkor was amazing. I was able to check-in early upon arrival and the room exceeded my expectations. The hotel is new and mixed into an area with locals, but it's very quiet and has a great secluded feel when you need a break from touristy activities. I got food poisoning the last day of my stay and the staff took amazing car of me; they went and got me meds and even though I had already checked out, let me back into an available room so I could lay down for a few hours and feel better to catch my flight. I met the owner before I left and she was such a humble, gracious woman. Absolutely loved my stay here and would come back in a heartbeat!

Hidden Gem
The hotel is truly a hidden gem!! The design of the hotel is airy and stylish while being cozy. The pictures shown in the website just not doing the justice. The location is great. Pub street and night markets are within short walking distance. It's tuck inside a small street off the main road, thus it's quiet for a relaxing night to sit at poolside and to have a good night sleep. The manager and staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Days before my arrival, the staff contacted me to arrange the airport pickup, which I hadn't expected at all. We had a delay flying out to Cambodia for an unexpected issue and had to communicate with them. Their responses were prompt and put my mind in ease. The manager and staff were certainly went out their way to make sure we had what we needed, if not more. We are grateful for the effort the staff made to make us feel totally welcomed. I had such a great experience and will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend this place!!

Great, friendly staff. Good location.
Great staff to deal with – very friendly and pleasant to deal with. The manager Pheng and the young woman often at reception deserve a mention – always great to interact with. The hotel is quite modern, ‘boutique’, clean and in a great location near restaurants without being ‘in the thick of it’. Small points: room service could be improved a little as occasionally some small items were forgotten to be replenished the next day (not a big issue) and the Asian breakfasts were great – far superior to the western ones (I’d promote these more, but perhaps everyone is not comfortable with them – but you are in Asia after all)! The noise from nearby bars can be a bit loud on Friday and Saturday nights, so earplugs are handy if you’re a light sleeper. Would stay here again for sure, we had a great holiday.

Stylish and comfy place, nice staff
This hotel is a very very nice place to stay! Especially after a long day in Angkor Wat & Angkor Thom, this place is basically heaven. Pros - The room is beautiful with black out curtains. Very comfy bed and pillow. - Bath tub, shower and rain shower (however, no jet bath tub as described) The water pressure is perfect. - Staffs are very very nice. - They even included the transfer from Airport too! - Location is not so far from Pub street (about 10-15 mins walk) and you can call took took (3wheeler) easily in front of the hotel Cons - Breakfast is not a buffet, some menu was so little that we can't get full - Noisy neighbors, some construction is running and there were groups of people opening the pub style music very very loud. Although they stopped it around 7pm, but after such a tired day at Angkor Wat, I need some sleep before having a dinner. I will stay here again if I come back to Siem reap :)

Great hotel in the heart of town.
Lovely, clean hotel with great staff and food. Nice pool helped after a hard days walking. The only downside no lift, luckily just 3 floors. Food excellent.

Nice boutique hotel, very close to the center of town. Friendly staff and rooms are beautifully appointed. Good food nearby and also the restaurant serves very good breakfast with a great variety from local Cambodian to western

Perfect stay for visit the temples
This hotel is a jem! It's beautiful and in good location it has good price to value ratio and the room is huge and outstanding it feels like a 5 stars boutique hotel. I truly recommend
