Johanna Hotel, Sorrento
The hotel was a lovely choice. Old world charm, view of Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples, friendly staff. Overall, a nice experience which we would gladly return to.

I only gave 3 stars to this hotel because some staff and some things were okay but I do even think it deserves 3 stars. I reserved a room with a view but something happened I guess when we checked in because they told us to come back down stairs and that they are changing our room: they called it garden view away from the hotel and we had to drag our luggage down not even sure what to call it. The room was semi clean because there were aunts on the floor. The ridge didn’t work and the view was horrible! It was unkept garden you don’t even want to see and small lizards were all we saw. The place seems like it’s a family run than corporate ran because the person that helped checked us in was also the person that took our order at the restaurant and also the one that drove the shuttle to the city. They seem to have many hats. The person that took us to the city (that drove the shuttle) told us to wait where he dropped us off and gave us the schedule for the shuttle so we went to the same spot and waited at 9 pm which the shuttle never came. When we called the hotel they told us he just left and should be there soon which never happened. When we called the hotel again no one answered. We waited until 10 to see if the 10 pm would come on time and since we waited until 9:30 we said 30 minutes wouldn’t change anything. We waited 10 after 10 and took a taxi to the hotel and when i mentioned it to the guy in the front desk he said the driver was there at 10 but at a different spot.

Our family took 2 rooms for 9 nights at the hotel. The beat thing about the hotel is their staff, they very kind and always keen to help. Even though the hotel is with small number of room the service is 24/7. the pool is great the kids loved it . The hotel should upgrade some of its furniture and it would help to add a kittle in the rooms. we enjoyed our stay and for recommend to stay at this hotel especially for families with kids.

The property is very clean, and the view is good. Staff is extremely caring. From receptionist, barista, waiter, you feel warm welcome from everyone. It like steps into my own big family except my dog would not bark at me. There is shuttle between hotel and Sorrento which is a plus.

Nice hotel with friendly staff, shuttle bus was great for getting up and down but the times of the service where a bit disappointing, the last one back to hotel was 10pm which was quite annoying and there was nothing really that interesting in the hotel to go back so early for. The room was really outdated and very little in the choice of TV channels. The bed was really uncomfortable and our view from the hotel was at the back so basically it wasn’t a view The staff are friendly but sometimes it was like a bit of an effort to get you something

Only stayed one night as we had a Yacht excursion the following day. The pool was fine. Dining room server was very professional and courteous. Check in and out was easy. The furniture in the rooms needs to be updated badly. Hotel needs to be refreshed. But for one night I can’t complain. Property is up away from all of the noise down below.

Fabulous hotel, loved our stay there. Staff couldn’t do enough for you. Gorgeous views. Gorgeous pool. If there was anything negative to say, the bed was extremely hard. Last shuttle back to the hotel was 10pm. Would have been great if an hour or so later.

Amazing views
I found hotel whilst looking for a reasonably priced hotel in the Sorrento/Almafi Coast area. Good value, clean, pretty with amazing views of the Gulf of Napoli and Mount Vesuvius. 2 minor niggles, no wifi in our room and the coffee at breakfast was instant coffee (yuck).

Nice clean hotel. Nice swimming pool. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only improvement I would suggest was the breakfast. Overall a pleasant experience. I would go back and probably recommend to a friend.

Fabulous view from our room of the Bay of Naples. Other than limited bus service to and from the hotel all was very good. 13 minute bus ride from the train station.

Lovely view and great hotel for the money. The rooms air con wasn’t perfect, but we didn’t mind as we love the heat. Unfortunately the COVID times meant certain services were altered from normal, yet the people were helpful and service friendly.

Very well maintained older type property. Bathroom fixtures were serviceable but really showed their age. Shower was clumsy to use. Great dinner and breakfast. Great view. A little far from Port but shuttle made it easy to get around. Great staff.

We had a lovely suite that was separate from the main property with a balcony overlooking sorrento. It was lovely and quiet. We stayed here for three days and did day trips to the amalfi coast. The only bad thing was that we had no wifi in the room the whole stay I guess because it was detached from the hotel.

Needs to be updated as building and rooms was looking old. Shower didn’t work well. Pool and grounds were nice as was the view. Staff in restaurant were amazing and worked so hard! Food was not that great, wouldn’t recommend dinner nor breakfast. Great to have transport to Sorrento. Very nice to have them assist with excursion questions and other questions we had.

Location location location fantastic. Outside hotel grounds fantastic. Room ok. Bathroom needs updating, beds need updating. Breakfast very decent. Shout out two gentlemen at the breakfast lunch n dinner, outstanding friendly service. Staff are really nice and helpful. Pool is beautiful surrounded by trees.

It is a beautiful hidden treasure at the top of a hill in Sorrento. The staff are friendly and helpful. The free shuttle service is convenient. I wish the beds weren’t squished together.

We have a lovely and quietful stay in this hotel ,the staff was very nice ,the view was exceptional and we also used the shuttle to the town and the trip to Capri was well organized .the only problem was the climatisation that doesn't work properly in the room .

Did not like the reception we received at the front gate where our gps took us. Told where to go in an off hand manner and did not tell us we could drop off luggage at door. Had to lug luggage from car park and down flight of steps.
