"I’m so pleased I booked this hotel - it couldn’t have been better. I stayed for 8 nights and the location was brilliant, walkable to everything I wanted to do and close to several excellent food options (Terry Black’s for barbecue, P Terry’s for burgers, and many others). The room was incredibly clean (I walked around the room barefoot on the concrete flooring and feet stayed clean - very impressive), spacious and comfortable with everything I needed, and no noise from neighbouring rooms. Excellent service from all the team, they were really helpful and welcoming. The coffee shop and pool at the hotel were also fantastic. I didn’t use room service but did order food at the pool one day and that was great, and very good value too. The rooms and all areas of the hotel are very well designed and very well maintained, and I hope to have a reason to return to Austin so that I can stay at the Carpenter Hotel again."

"Very easy parking. Convenient location in Austin. Didn’t like the lighting in the room, especially the bathroom, where the lighting is all on one side of the face. No handle bars in the shower. Note that the water is very soft."

"This is an iconic Austin motel. Update it with funky rooms lots of cool things near and around the motel. The pool is great with an outdoor bar. Great, bartender, staff very friendly. I've been there many times and this was one of my best days."

"Clean spacious rooms, beautiful pool, well equipped gym. The only downside is the amount per night to park. It has gone up tremendously in the past few years. 55 for self park, 63 for vallet. This is probably the deal breaker for us to return "
