"We stayed at the Ramada Hotel in San Diego on Sunday night, 5/17, and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.
We checked in online and also called the hotel ahead of time to confirm that arriving before midnight would be okay. We arrived around 9:30 PM and were first assigned room 601. The hotel lobby was extremely dark — only the front desk area and the front of the elevator were lit. There was one guest ahead of us in line and about three guests exiting the elevator while we were getting our room key.
When we entered the room, we noticed an alarm/security device sitting loose on the table, which immediately made us feel unsafe. We called the front desk to report it, but they already seemed aware of the issue.
We requested another room and were moved to room 718. Unfortunately, the second room was also unacceptable. There was no hair dryer provided, and it appeared that the sheets on both beds had not been changed. The sheets and pillowcases had many spots and stains, and the next morning we even found a pair of socks inside the bedding.
By that time, it was already after 10:00 PM, and we no longer felt safe going back out to deal with the situation. We ended up removing all the sheets ourselves and slept without them because we felt uncomfortable using the bedding provided.
Early the next morning, we contacted the front desk and requested a full refund because we could not stay for the second night. Thankfully, the hotel refunded us, but the entire experienc"
