Top Southeastern Michigan Hotel Reviews

Detroit Foundation Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"The room was super nice and clean stuff was top nuch and I loved that you can schedule room service and the location was excellent great for getting around downtown and the valet services was the best I've had great hotel would recommend it over many hotels in Detroit"

MotorCity Casino Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Front desk was amazing, asked if we were going to a concert and informed us we could get a free shuttle there and back! Even the shuttle lady was amazing when our concert got canceled. A manager was so nice as we checked out and shared our disappointment of our show being canceled. Will definitely be back!"

Atheneum Suite Hotel

8/10 Good

"Still one of my favorite hotels while staying in downtown Detroit. I have always loved the setup of the Atheneum Hotel. However the hotel is showing signs of aging. The bathroom need a new vanity with 2 sinks, a shower perhaps and updated lighting with the light switch inside the bathroom, The bathroom looks a bit sparse. Need better window treatments (incorporate shades perhaps), lighting, better light switch locations. The entrance sitting area needs elevated furniture and materials. The stairs needs better lighting or a light for EACH stair. At night while the room was dark I kept stumbling down the stairs because of poor lighting. Also, I believe the hotel rooms should revert the room walls back to the exposed concrete. Last but not lease, The small TV and the connectivity/streaming software is outdated and embarrassing. Instead of watching tv together we decided just to look at content on our phone, and the ppv movies were too expensive."

Holiday Inn Express and Suites Detroit/Sterling Heights by IHG

10/10 Excellent

"This is not a complaint it’s observation for a 3 star hotel, there is no daily room makeup even if you asked for. The breakfast buffet stops having food thirty minutes before closure. In general the front desk staff is helpful and nice. The weekend breakfast person wasn’t pleasant talking to her. Overall the hotel is clean. I stayed three nights and begged for make room with multiple staff, just one kind lady who does the make up rooms responded and did it as a gesture although she was told it wasn’t planned to do it. I would still stay in the hotel keeping in mind its 3 stars hotel and service is not that great."
