My family stayed at Arrowhead Resort for two nights on the recommendation of a friend of a friend. We were atypical guests, as we were in the area for a family wedding rather than Watts Bar Lake activities. We did some research and found Arrowhead to be a better option than motels in the area, for reasons of both convenience and affordability.
The two-bedroom apartment was clean, and the beds and the furniture were comfortable. The kitchen was handy, considering that the restaurant on the property is closed for repairs. We shopped at the nearby Piggly Wiggly and prepared our own meals.
We needed clean clothes for our departure. Arrowhead provides a complimentary laundry room, so we were able to do our washing the second night.
It also helped that the store on the property sells small bottles of laundry detergent, which saved us a drive when we going to be out all day. The store has everything guests need for the full Arrowhead experience, including fishing and grilling supplies.
One thing in particular impressed me at check-out. The night before, my younger son lost some quarters in the Mountain Dew vending machine. A man in a pickup truck (the owner/manager?) told me to ask the staff for a refund in the morning. I did not need to ask -- the lady at the desk was already aware and provided the refund right away.
Between the genial southern hospitality and the quality of the apartment, we were sorry we had to leave. If we visit the area again, we will be back at Arrowhead.
We rented the cabin. Which is a duplex not a stand alone cabin. There was some kind junk all over the face of the refrigerator. The A/C smelled like mildew. They had some kind of fire in the main building. The restaurant and general store was shut down. Which was inconvenient for us and I'm sure real inconvenient for the staff. Nice, friendly people run the place.
I've been going to Arrowhead off and on for 45 years. When I was a kid every year, now I'm older every year. My favorite place to go and be on the lake ! And now they changed owners and still love it !

Called ahead to let them know we had a roadside emergency and see if we could cancel and get a refund. They were not understanding at all. Ended up having to drive late into the night with small children to avoid losing our money.
Wow! The new ownership has made a significant investment into the resort. The accommodations were updated. There was entertainment performing outside. The resort was very well kept. We enjoyed the comfort cabin and the closeness to our friends in Apollo Shores. The breakfast menu served different options for different tastes. Hope to visit again in the near future.
This place is awesome from the top people there to the lowest on the pay roll. Stacie was awesome and Norman went above and beyond to help me out there. I would highly recommend this place if your a lover of the outdoors and fishing. The food at the front porch was great as well. Very fun loving staff. Give them a try and I know you will be back.
Beth at the front desk was so kind and helpful! Room was extremely clean. Very comfortable stay. Loved the scenery!! Sunset on the lake. This place is like stepping back in time. A fishing camp/fun family resort.
You all will love this place its so beautiful nice n quiet for us they have everything here, this place is better than any hotel/motel we've ever stayed at i give Arrowhead Resort 10 star's they are the friendliest people here great place n most definitely great prices
This property is wonderful. The setting is beautiful. The room was super clean and comfortable. I will definitely plan a trip to this area as a quick getaway due to this property alone. I'm confident my wife will enjoy this property as much as I did.
Very misrepresented in the picture. Our “ cabin” was a duplex in trailer park. They must have a very skilled photographer to make that broom closet looks spacious. The pullout bed was warped and sat at a crazy angle. Our friends slept on it backwards so their feet wouldn’t be above their heads. It was clean, but considering the location I would have rather booked a hotel and saved the money.
We stayed here for one night on our way to Nashville and wish we could have stayed longer!! The view from our cabin was of Watts Bar lake and we couldn’t have picked a more beautiful place. The staff, without exception were welcoming and friendly and it had a real family feel. Our room was clean, inviting and did I mention the view?!?! We hired kayaks which were 10 metres from our room and had a half day kayaking up the lake - and we only saw two other boats all the time we were out there! Food was great too, with quick service and plenty of it!! The resort manager, Norm, deserves a special mention for being so welcoming to a couple of Brits only in for one night! If you get the chance, go! We just hope we can get back there sometime soon!!
