This is an old but well maintained hotel. Very family friendly. Support staff is very friendly and helpful. Good location in the CBD.

Uncomfortable!
Rock hard beds, felt like I was sleeping on a dining table! The room was majorly outdated, smelled musty and the shower had one sad pump for body wash, shampoo. The towels were clean but super thin and rough. Felt like a cheap hotel. Would not recommend at all and will not be staying here again.

This hotel has halal food for Muslim travelers. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to Sogo and nearby halal establishments. Accessible to public transportation too. Clean room, quiet neighborhood and pleasant stay.

We were in the executive floor. Room was clean, spacious. Bed was firm. Water pressure in shower fantastic. Good coffee, no sugar or cream provided though. The breakfast buffet was great. Gym has most equipment plus free weights, towels, water, clean. Taxi from HSR station was $620NTD. Across the street, we caught the bus to go along Taiwan Boulevard, with EasyCard, with 5 or 6 km, the ride is free.

We had a great stay. Joseph and Sean (concierge) were especially helpful, proactive, and kind. They went above and beyond to assist us with our stay. We also really enjoyed the breakfast.

Great first visit to Taichung
The room was comfortable and clean. I was there for a conference and the hotel did all the catering - food was fantastic. Breakfast buffet was great. Lots of selection and variety. There is a cappuccino machine and juices were freshly squeezed. Overall the conference ran very smoothly. Definitely recommend staying at this hotel for business or holiday.

A lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Room was nice, breakfast was ok but felt more like a food hall dining room than a top rating hotel, noisy and crowded.

1980s Taiwan hotel experience
If you want a 1980s domestic travel experience in Taiwan then stay at this hotel. It’s decor and facilities are largely untouched from the days when the first generation who experienced the great Taiwan economic miracle started taking leisure trips. Service comes with a heavy Japanese, deep bow and is very good, which tells you that the Evergreen company culture is as strong as ever, but whoever is in charge isn’t really paying much attention to anything else. You can stay in a much better, modern place for the same value.

Rooms had bad smell of dampness. Hasn't been renovated for a good few year's. Basic bathroom facilities (old style). Small TV'S not suited for luxury sweet. Leisure centre very basic, swimming pool average, no hot tup. Breakfast was excellent for Tawanese conditions. Overall very poor value for money. Certainly not 5 Stars, more like a 3 Star.

Good stay
Went there a few times. English staffs ok. Good breakfast (rare in Taiwan). I like the possibility to play Squash (extra fee). Switch games for kids (didn't try). Outdoor swimming pool is ok (low to high deep, 110cm? To 160-170cm). Small pool for smaller kids too.
