"We really enjoyed our stay. It is perfect for a family. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Liked having the laundry facility on site however, the dryers are not too good. Place is really close to seven eleven and Lawsons. So close to Kyoto station. Overall, I would really recommend this place for people in big groups or family. "

"We had a larger room including a kitchenette, nice. The local staff are extraordinary. It’s easy to get around Kyoto by bus and Metro from the location with Google maps and an IC card such as pasmo. We enjoyed the sauna spa."

"Clean modern apartment. Beds were the comfiest I've stayed in whilst in Japan. Very close to sites of Kyoto. Only niggle was no staff around to ask any questions and the spa wasn't included in the price of the room. 8000yen for 90 minutes"

"Mimaru is an excellent place to stay in Kyoto. It is only three subway stops from Kyoto Stdtion and it is in a very quiet area. It has exceptional amenities and our room was impeccably clean and very comfortable. There is a Family Mart about 30m from the front entrance. Highly recommended."

"We booked the Pokémon room. It was a surprise for my 3 kids and they were over the moon. They loved the bunk beds, the Pokémon decor, plushy and dishes. It was a nice reprieve from the tight hotel rooms. We stayed in most evenings because it was so comfortable. The staffs were helpful and nice. There’s a laundry facility and many convenient stores close by. The only negative points for me personally were: lack of a view (windows were frosted) and the ventilation system was poor. The onsen style space was lovely to have as an experience. They are strict about visible tattoos but if you have small ones they will let you cover them up so that you can enjoy! "
