"This hotel is in a great location overlooking the pier, near the shops and 10 minute walk from the train station. Room was clean and large. However there were no working elevators which is a tough slog when you’re on the top floor even tho I consider myself reasonably fit. We noticed this was reported in numerous other reviews over months if not years so we weren’t surprised when we arrived but the hotel staff told us there was an engineering team looking into it. Oh yeah? 😂 Might be time to get a new engineering team!"

"This was our first stay in this hotel and we were very impressed with the establishment, in every respect, but especially and particularly because every member of staff we encountered was polite, listened to what we said, and were totally helpful. It was quite noticeable that the staff were well trained, well motivated, and keen to help us during our stay."

"Property is adjacent to the beach area, we had a great view of the esplanade from our room. The check-in was great, probably the friendliest one on our 20 day trip around Europe. Room was run of the mill, bathroom could do with some modernisation together with some luxurious towels instead of the heavily used ones provided."

"After checking in we found the air conditioning was not working, tried to call the front desk and phone was not working, nor was the TV. Had to walk back down to reception where we were told we were pre warned about the air conditioning ( we were not!!) and there was a fan in the room- there wasn’t. The lady argued saying there was and said in regards to the phone not working- most hotels don’t have phones anymore anyway. When she came to our room, she finally agreed we indeed did not have a fan. One was delivered- but it literally just moved the hot air around. The fan stopped working in the middle of the night and our toilet was on constant flush. Location wise, this hotel is great. But this hotel needs serious maintenance and updating and until this is done, I’d personally avoid."

"Lovely location. Our room was very small so I'd recommend to upgrade to larger one. Reception staff were welcoming and lovely. However, bar staff less friendly. Had to go upto the bar to get drinks which were expensive and then pay a heavy service charge to take my own drinks to my table. Service I understand when you receive it but not when you don't receive it."
