"Room was great. Breakfast was one of the best we've had at a hotel. Location was spot on for the train but also for the royal mile. The only downside was check in. The staff were not very friendly and it was awkward to find our room. We were told to go down this way to find floor 4. There was a lift but it only went to rooms up to 432. Luckily a bar staff member told us we had to walk another 30 seconds around into the new building works area to find a second lift. There was no signs or anything to say this so i feel the reception staff should be telling people this. Overall a really good stay and would stay again. "

"Visited Edinburgh for 3 short days and was very impressed with this hotel. Upon entering the room ,you were greeted with folded towels on the bed with a complimentary rubber duck. There was a card with a QR code you could scan to get the history about the duck. Rooms were spacious and very modern in decor. Bathroom was large with separate bathtub and shower. Toiletries were provided and the usual ammenities were also there, iron, coffe maker, hairdryer, etc. Coffee,tea bags, sugar, as well as creamers were also provided. The bed was comfortable but only has a duvet, no top sheet. From what I could see, the room didn't have A/C and the window could only be opened just a few inches. The MAJOR downside was that the room did not have any USB ports to plug your phone or in my case, hearing aid charger into. This required me to run out and buy a special adapter in the evening. Did not realize when booking this room that complimentary breakfast was included. You could choose from a buffet breckfast or order from the menu. Service was quick and efficient and the menu selection very good. We were also given a card that was good for a complimentary drink from the bar. They don't serve lunch or dinner there but there is a sister hotel 2 doors down that does. It also has a pool that you can use. This place is on a small plaza with other restaurants and pubs across the street. Just around the corner is the Grayfriars Bobby statue, graveyard, and pub. Great place would highly recommend."

"Good location right outside station and near bus and trams. Hotel is not too bad the rooms were nice but they were rather stuffy and hot despite the air con saying it was 18 which impacted our sleep. The area near the door where the air con unit is was lovely and cool but not the rest of the room. Beds were comfortable and the rooms had everything we needed. Liked the Dove toiletries. I was unaware I had booked a room without a window which added to the temperature of the room. Breakfast was ok nothing too major just your standard cooked breakfast, yoghurts, pastries, cereals and some fruit. Overall the hotel is not to bad for what I paid."
