"The homestay was a good experience in general but was quite far from Cat Ba Town. We were able to hire bicycles and ride to the national park and go hiking but there wasn't anything else that could be accessed without motorised transport. The rooms were ok, but in need of some maintenance. Bathrooms need updating and wallpaper was peeling off the ceilings. There were spiders and a centipede in the room but it was fine once we removed the critters. Lots of farm sounds with roosters, barking dogs...

Linda was very responsive and instrumental in organizing a full day boat tour which did not disappoint ( we even saw the endangered langur monkeys sleeping on the cliff). Our second day we rented motorbikes from The homestay and explored the island including caves within the national park. Our kids especially enjoyed the food at the homestay- amazing spring rolls, fried rice , and slow cooked pork and eggs. Thank you so much Linda and staff at Cat Ba Serena for making our stay so memorable!"

"I had a wonderful experience on Orchid Classic Cruise. The service was excellent, the food exceeded my expectations, and the room was spacious and comfortable. One pleasant surprise was that the cruise included a shore excursion, which I wasn’t expecting and really enjoyed. The only downside is that the ship is showing its age. While it is well maintained, it doesn’t have the feel of a brand-new luxury cruise. That said, the outstanding service and overall experience more than made up for it. I would happily recommend Orchid Classic Cruise."
