"The hotel had just been open a few days after being closed for 8 months. The building is shabby & our room was worse. There were stains on the carpet & upholstery. The bathroom was nice as it looked as if it had been upgraded recently. There was no ac & we could only open the window a few inches. We had a very small fan, inadequate. The sun shone on our window most of the day. It was hot!"

"Staff at the property were lovely, location is great, very central to Torquay. Only slight gripe is the lack of air con in the rooms, it was one of the hottest days in fairness, and the room was boiling hot all night."
