"Itโ€™s a big property right on Lake Biwa. We were quite happy with our roomy room on the 10th floor with a nice morning view on the lake. The hotel gets quite busy though, so many of the amenities are a bit harder to enjoy - lots of people at the onsen, gaming area gets quite busy too. The local souvenir shop is actually reasonably priced. The concierge went out of his way to help us organise an activity in Hikone and guided us on the best way to get there. Would recommend but Iโ€™d avoid weekends and Japanese school holidays."

"We loved our stay in Hikone. The room was comfortable given we had three single beds. The hotel is only a minute walk from the train station and close to dining establishments. It's also a short walk to the castle - which is a must. This was a week into our trip, so we availed ourselves of the laundry facility. It is located on one of the floors, not in your room. It had two washers and two dryers. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again."
