Very conveniently located. Facility is an old hotel with creepy and uneven floors - depending on your POV adds character or just old. I only stayed a couple nights and it was perfect for taking the bus to hike in the mountains.

Very clean organized hostel. Mattress and sheets were soft. They had 2 adorable cats! Women's bathrooms were tidy, including 2 showers. Area around it had grocery + fast food available, but is located in a rundown area. Don't recommend walking alone at night.

Shout out to The Legendary Cambie in Gastown. The staff were amazing from check in to check out. The rooms were clean and well designed. The security of the hostel is high and the staff are on hand 24/7 Highly recommend for anyone travelling or anyone who is stranded because of an airline strike! See you in a few weeks Cambie! - Jake

It was a fantastic stay at the prime location close to the rail station. Special Thanx to the bar situated right next door. I had my favorite fish and chips and delicious Canadian beer.

Overall, I had a good stay at The Cambie Hostel. The location was great, the atmosphere was lively, and the facilities met my expectations for a hostel. It’s a solid choice for travelers looking for a social, budget-friendly spot. That said, my checkout experience was a bit frustrating. The staff member helping me seemed overwhelmed and ended up snapping at me, which left a bit of a sour note at the end of my stay. I understand he was under pressure and juggling a lot, but the attitude wasn’t great and felt unnecessary. Other than that moment, everything else went smoothly. I’d still recommend the hostel — just hoping for a bit more patience and professionalism at the front desk next time.

The staff here are what make this place so fantastic! The rooms are clean, have everything you need and staff are helpful for anything else. Definitely recommend if you want to be somewhere social and lively.
