"Truly a “haven” in the midst of a busy town! The open air reception, the hand carved wooden tables, the smiling staff and owner … all charmed us and made our stay lovely! After hours of kayaking and traipsing thru the downtown area, we enjoyed warm showers and a relaxing, spacious room. The location was perfect: an easy walk to many restaurants and yet a quiet place to retire and recharge. We are definitely going back to this hotel! "

"I love the view of the mountains outside my balcony. Also, I can see the river, the pool and dinning area from my balcony. I was lucky enough to get a glimpse of the hot air balloon, hang gliders, and the local commuting through boats from my window as well. The room was clean & the

"This hotel must have been the bees knees before the Amari was built next door. It does appear to have been left to deteriorate over the last two years of covid lockdowns, but dont let that deter you. Room had a great view and balcony, the pool was great and clean. I really hope they get the bar and restaurant up and runnibg again and dust off the sun beds (they were stacked away in a room), as this hotel has potential to return to its former glory."

"Unfortunately, I can't review this hotel. We arrived and they were rebuilding beside and in front of the hotel. There was no parking as advertised. None of this is advertised obviously. After complaining, I was sent to their sister hotel, The Silver Naga, which was very nice. It is a shame hotels do things like this and not advise people."

"We booked this place as the photos we had looked at on trivago were for somewhere different. When I clicked on the link to go through to hotels.com to confirm the booking, it was for the Phongsavanh resort which I unfortunately didn't realise until a day later. We turned up & staff couldn't find our booking & so put us in a $20 room as opposed to a $40 room. The hotel is still sbufing site and so we had to clamber across the mud, debris & dodge the uncovered deep man holes. The 'private balcony'...

"We stayed for four nights and were upgraded to a Deluxe room which is 32m2 (same size as classic) on the ground level with pool view and outside seating area. Very comfortable king bed, small sitting area and a large bathroom. Shower is in bath, so may not suit everyone. Pool is very refreshing. There are about 22 sun lounges and we never had a shortage during our 4 nights stay. Very serene views of the river and limestone mountains in the background make it a very relaxing place to cool off after a day out and about. Breakfast is buffet style with egg station. Plenty of options to suit most people with different menu items each day. Fresh juices were great, never had avocado before but it was my favourite. Veth and Yurr (trainee) looked after us with great care and attention. We were never short of freshly brewed coffees, teas or water. Used plates were cleared frequently and quickly. Overall we had a lovely stay and would have no hesitation recommending this hotel. "
