"A lovely traditional house in a typical Cretan village away from the tourist hotspots. Our host spoke good English and was very welcoming and helpful. The bakery sells wonderful trays of Baklava which we enjoyed on our spacious roof terrace, a great place for breakfast too. "

"A small group of modern appartments in a rural location with a great pool and stunning views. 20 min walk from village with good restaurants and shops. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Going breakfast available. The walk back from the village is steep but a taxi was 5 Euros. If you get the exact Google Maps location it is not difficult to find. "

"Really liked the hotel facilities. Food was really good, especially breakfast, and meat and desserts were delicious. Also had drinks on tap all day eg soft drinks and coffee. Staff were really helpful and efficient. Also area around the hotel was nice with several interesting shops and cafes in close proximity. "My husband and I went to the Peninsula Resort and Spa from June 1 to June 11, 2025. It is a great hotel on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The view of the blue sea is stunning. The sun was always shining for 10 days in a row. The rooms are large, and the mattresses and pillows are very comfortable. The hotel is always clean, and the fridge is filled with water bottles. The pools are very clean, and there are a lot of chairs to lounge on. The buffet's food was extraordinary, with a huge amount of very high-quality and delicious food, always hot. They had several stations where pizza, pasta, eggs, etc., were made daily in front of the guests. They also had fresh fish, seafood, beef, chicken, and pork barbecued fresh daily. The French fries were always fresh and hot. They had all kinds of drinks and alcohol. The staff at the buffet and all the other pool bars were always smiling and ready to help. The reception staff was great and spoke many languages. The entertainment group is a hard-working team. Although the entertainment was the majority of the time in French, however, they also spoke English. The only thing that was tiring for me was the many, many stairs that I had to take every day to go down to the sea. But, if you're young and healthy, you won't have any problem with this resort. I fully recommend this resort."

"We were at the Megaron for one night, on our way to Chania. The hotel was very nice and our room was very spacious and comfortable. The hotel staff, specially Effie at the front desk, were very pleasant and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoy our stay. Definitely would love to return!"

"This was our 2nd time at Mitsis Rinela after trying a few of the Mitsis properties. The facilities and the sand beach are the main attraction for sure. Everything has been or is being refurbished and the hotel is really beautiful. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in an all inclusive resort. Only drawback for us as a couple was the number of kids around but that’s the summer for you. Not much can be done about that. "
