Tobacco smoke in halls/stairways despite "no smoking in building" and when you open the window even on upper floors. Good transport but ambulance/fire/police wailing by at all hours. Takes Discover but not AmEx.

The room was dirty, the bathroom was nasty black mold on the corners the windows had no curtains. The tv is a 14” the floor in the room is coming apart. I could go on and on. We spent 9 days in Europe stayed in five different hotels all excellent except for this one it was our last two nights so we dealt with it.

The staff was very friendly, our room was clean and comfortable. It worked for us and we were pleased. We had 8 people on this trip and wanted a place friendly to children and a reasonable priced place to stay and this place was perfect.

Sadly, it was a really bad choice. The windows are so bad, we heard every single noise on the street. We could not sleep. The room was not totally clean ( dirt on the toilet seat, mold on the window) I don’t recommend it.

It was not mentioned on Expedia that this was a hostel! Arriving with my family at midnight we had no choice but to stay here as arranged, if we had of arrived earlier I would have looked for somewhere else. The room was so noisy it was impossible to sleep. Being on a main road with no soundproofing you heard every noise. It had no air conditioning and was hotter than outside so we had no choice but to leave the windows open (the 3 inches that they did open) to allow some air in. It was not clean and there was a tampon under the bed along with several discarded items, including food, and a lot of dust. The bunk beds were not made so we had to do this with 2 very tired children who had been in the car for 12 hours. The bathroom was not clean, it was tiny and the shower did not work properly. I asked to park the car outside and was told that it was full but there were free spaces. The receptionist reluctantly allowed me to park there, I paid of course. The property was rundown and dirty. Overall this was the worse experience of our road trip and I would not return ever. It was not much cheaper than a nice hotel but the photos looked lovely, and like I said, there was no reference to it being a hostel. I will be writing to Expedia and complaining about this stay.

The room is simple, but it has all what´s necessary, exception fridge. It does´not mind now (through all my stay it was raining and quite a cold wheather), but it would be really very useful in hot days. This accomodation is entirely good for short, several days visit, for longer stay the room would feel the lack of space for storage personal things. Its localisation is very good for achievement of the historical center and I was satisfied here.

It felt unsafe, it was not a room, more of a closet, there were holes in the wall, no television channels or remote, no place for luggage to be opened, had to shuffle around the bed, squeeze into the shower, worst place I've ever rented, left after 12 hours. DO NOT STAY HERE

Wouldn’t stay again - dirty, felt unsafe and loud.
Booked a single room but still felt extremely unsafe. Extremely loud at night, with doors banging constantly. My room was on the ground floor and woke up at around 11pm to someone banging on my window and trying to open it. At around 9am, 1 hour before check out, someone with key card access let themselves into my room whilst I was in the shower. I shouted for them to leave and they did. I’m not sure if this was a cleaner etc. The rooms were dirty, with weeks worth of dust underneath the beds, hairs and stains on the bedding, and dirty walls. Was very cheap but will definitely pay much more next time to sleep feeling safe.

I was unpleasantly surprised that all the rooms in the highest floor are not accessible by lift, only by stairs (walk up and downstairs make me a little problem). The room was extremely small, has no storage space (no wardrobe or cabinet, for 2 people only 2 pegs on the wall and 2 hangers...),no chair or other place to seat, along 2 beds there was fast not possible to squeeze to the window.... but positive - it was very clean and staff was friendly.

Clean nice hotel with good transport connections
The room was clean and spacious. Everything looked recently renovated and modern. Near there is a shopping centre with lots of shops and restaurants. Good transport connections. Unfortunately there is too much noise from the road when you leave the windows open.

Very loud and smelly.
Hotel location is in city center. Which is good and bad. Price quality ratio is OK. Room cleanest is fine same as good stuff which was helpful. However I had with my family the worst night ever. The room was facing the street/patio. Because of the very close proximity of one of the main streets in Vienna we had no chance to sleep at all. It was so loud. Even if we closed the window it didnt change anything. We stayed there for a night while traveling to Italy from Warsaw and we were completely wasted next day. Another thing disgusting smell on the patio, entrance to reception and paid parking. We were not able to breath normally. They store in the corner trash with who knows what in there as well. Generally we will never stay there again.

The property is well situated and my single room was nice. The only issue I had is that I stayed 4 nights and not once did I receive clean towels, toilet paper refill or garbage emptying. I had to go to the desk after night 3 to ask for clean towels for my final night. I was told they only replace them if they are on the floor to which I replied that my room had to be entered to see that they were. The person at the desk was very kind and apologetic though.

Rude staff, uncomfortable room…AVOID.
Staff very rude; check-in staff member tried to charge me again when I had already paid, then gave me a key card that didn’t work. He never apologised and I was made to feel that this was my fault. Room was small, stuffy and uncomfortable, with a very loud bed. The pics are very deceptive and you have to leave the window wide open to get any air flow/cooling at all. At check-out the staff carried on having a conversation about rooms for five mins until they finally deigned to serve me. Overall, not recommended. The one at Wien Hbf is better.

Low professional manager is running the hostel.
The manager kick my luggage out while I was having breakfast in the hostel, but they made a huge mistake cause I booked online 12 hrs before. I also didn't receive an apology, that's Rude. They put all. My stuff in a garbage bag. Unacceptable

Good hostel--ear plugs obligatory
Overall, this is a high-value hostel. Great linens, friendly and helpful staff, generally clean place, nice bar area. My only issue was the noise on the front side of the property, as it is on a very busy street. The windows have to stay open for air circulation in the summer, so you definitely need ear plugs if you are planning to get any sleep. Still a bargain, all things considered. The location is very convenient for those who are using public transportation or the fabulous Citybike system. You can also walk to the Museum quarter from here.
