"Absolutely stunning room and breakfast at the hotel across the parking lot was a bonus. The property is on the main road in town so the view is just OK but the location is unbeatable and it was very quiet at night. Only complaint was the lights... numerous switches and its not clear what controls what. And the fireplace ran out of fuel but we didnt contact anyone as we were only there for 2 nights. Wish we couldve stayed longer!"

Farmhouse Lodge

8/10 Good

"We stayed in one of the rooms (not one of the camp sites). There was originally a small mix up with the rooms (they gave us keys to the wrong room) but fixed it immediately and were helpful. Room was nice, had a sink available. Bathroom was shared with other guests in the building. Bathroom was nice and staff kept it clean."

"The hotel was nice, had a hard time figuring out how to heat the room, the main door is a walk from the parking lot especially when it’s raining and windy. I wish they would allow you to exit with the emergency exit which is conveniently located right by the parking lot. The breakfast wasn’t my favorite not very much selection. The problems were not enough to never come back. They did the best they could and I’d stay here again."

"Hotel Búrfell had incredible views and a scenic location. It was close to Dyrhólaey and only about 15 minutes from Vík, which made it a convenient place to stay while exploring the area. The hotel itself was nothing fancy. The room was very simple, and the bathroom was basic, but it worked well for a short stay. Check-in was self check-in, which made the process easy, and there was parking available on site. The main downside was that it was very loud, so I would recommend bringing either a sound machine or earplugs. Overall, it was a simple but convenient stay with beautiful views and a peaceful location."

"Amazing and spacious room! Smelled really nice. King bed was so comfortable. Pull out couch was not so great for the kids but that’s what we expected. Great Nespresso coffee maker and the rainfall shower was amazing. Lighting in the bathroom could be better. View and location were outstanding. Bar on site had a great vibe!"
