"Pleasant old style Inn with accommodation in separate building. The bedroom had very comfortable bed with fluffy pillows. The bathroom was a bit cramped and had a very noisy extractor fan. There was no provision to dry towels as radiator was off, I guess during summer months and a lamp was not working over the shower. We stayed two nights and enjoyed both evening meals which were very good. The noisy fan was mentioned to the staff. "
"Receptionist was fantastic when we were checking in. Hotel was in a good location for everything that needed done, shopping trip and a quick visit to Edinburgh. For a small friendly hotel the restaurant was decent value, the bar wasn't expensive and breakfast was good."

"Property and staff excellent. Was going to be charged £20 for early check in. I challenged this, and it was revoked. I asked if we could get in if the room was ready. It was ready and left a sour taste in my mouth that they were going to charge extra for this. If that hadn’t happened, it would have been 5 stars all round because the rest was brilliant.
