"The only complaint is that the mattress on the bed still had the plastic on and it was near impossible to sleep. You can hear and feel the plastic on the bed. Very uncomfortable."

"The rooms were on the small side, but clean & modern. 27th floor outdoor patio, just inside free different types of coffee. W We were in a room with a kitchen and it was well equipped, with free bottled water just down the hall. Will stay there again on next trip to NYC (we were staying near Grand Central Station with a total of 4 rooms."

"I was only in town for three nights, and needed a convenient and budget friendly hotel, and found Hotel 57 online, and am very glad that I did! I come to NYC about four times a year, and often try to find an affordable hotel room near the location of where I'm visiting or where my business is at, and so I often stay at different properties. Many of them appear to be converted apartment buildings as Hotel 57 appears to be, so I am comparing "apples to apples" when rating Hotel 57. The building itself is clean and presented well, and the location was perfect for me, and for someone coming in as a tourist, is what I think to be a very convenient location. It is very close to Central Park, great shopping, landmark attractions, and is just a couple of blocks from a subway station as well as having a bus line right out the door that goes across town very conveniently. The room was very clean, contemporary, and attractive, with every basic and necessary amenity for me, like a TV with lots of channels, a well appointed bathroom, a coffee machine, safe, and a lighted full closet. It wasn't lacking in any way. The staff was wonderful. Always polite and welcoming, and very accommodating. I only booked one night initially, but as my visit required additional nights, twice I extended it, with the staff making sure that I didn't have to move rooms (thanks Raymond), and while giving me the lowest rate available for that room. Overall a wonderful caring staff!"
