"I was literally 6 minutes away from the cathedral and the main shopping. The hotel was very quaint. Breakfast was excellent as was the staff. I wish I had had time to use the enormous tub!"
"The decor was so fun, loved the character it brought. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Very convenient location to train station, cathedral, city center and the gorgeous park "

"I had a very lovely stay here, Jack and Alex W on the front desk where very helpful as well. The bar staff were fabulous as well, especially Maddie, who was very friendly. June in the breakfast room in the morning was very kind and polite as well. I stayed in one of the apartments across the car park which was very modern and had an area where you can cook. (Although I couldn’t see and frying or saucepans, I didn’t need to use any) but there was also a Nespresso coffee machine as well. There was also comfortable Air Conditioning/Heating which was controllable. There were also free bathroom amenities too. Would recommend to stay here."
"Our bedroom was in the older part of the hotel, it was clean, the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. Our room was quiet even though you are above some of the other parts of the hotel. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices. It was a very relaxing hotel with great staff, "
"No fuss check-in room clean and well laid out pool was so welcome after long drive and food was DeVine,
Will be booking again as such a nice place to stay.
Would recommend if you have a family and want a place to stay as it is vast and you won't even know anyone else is staying there, so kids can play without worrying about neighbours. there were 4 of us 2 adults a 17 year old and a 13year old boy with autism, was nice not to have to keep saying sorry about the boy he is Autistic, (he had a great time) he said it was a great Vacation. "
"The grounds of the house is beautiful. We wondered around and even walked through the cornfield. The staff was Excellent and went out of their way for anything we needed. My college student son even took his final online exam in the Library which is over 200 years old and the staff gave him a pitcher of water, cookies and a Good Luck note. Best kept secret in the areas."
"We arrived late and stayed for one night after a wedding nearby.
Was so glad for the spacious car park because I was absolutely shattered and it was so dark.
We stayed in a twin room with double and single bed. The single wasn't quite as plush as the double and my daughter was so disappointed she wasn't allowed to sleep in the big bed! The single was a bit hard but not too bad. I was grateful for the extra pillow in the wardrobe as they were a bit flat for me.
The shower head holder was loose so it had to be hand held. The bathroom was a bit weathered though clean. The toilet took an age to refill so when all of us needed the loo, it took ages to be able to flush.
Room was clean and tidy and we appreciated the kettle and hot drinks though we didn't need them this time.
There was a decent English breakfast selection, with cereals, hot drinks and fruit juices for breakfast. We arrived around 9am and had to wait for several things to be refilled. Coffee was good so that was appreciated. If I was to be picky I would've liked pastries or pancakes 😁
My daughter fell in love with the two beautiful dogs who live there and she didn't want to leave.
There was a playground on site, which we sadly didn't have time to explore.
Overall we had a really lovely albeit short stay and would definitely come back if we were ever in the area again."
