"They, the staff, exceeded my expectations . Courteous, helpful, kind and pleasant are words that I would use to describe them. Everyone greets you with a bow and civility, right down to the hardest workers in the hotel. For that, i will surely come back. My stay at the Prince Hotel East was worth every yen and then some. I originally was suppose to stay at the Sunvalley Hotel, in Shiga Kogen. I lost my reservation there due to payment issues. I was hesitant about coming to the Prince Hotel. It was my first time. The room i stayed in was probably one of the best i have seen for the price. The next time I am in Shiga Kogen, i am staying at the Prince Hotel East, without a doubt."

"Its more a backpacks accommodation then a Hotel. The food provided in the morning was a joke at best. A doggy bag with bread buns that you have to heat you your self. Thats it. Rooms are old and the bathroom smells like s&@$. The two young staff were helpful and speck english. The public bath was good as well. The place needs to be refurbished into the 20th century. Sorry to say that. We read some comments by other explaining that it was traditional and all that but its very old and dated. Food sucked. "

"Super hotel just five mins walk from the train / bus station. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bathroom is probably the smallest I have ever been in but worked ok and even though the showerhead was a 50p temu plastic one, it was the best shower of our trip. Included food was more Japanese based than European but we managed. The Onsen was very nice too. We did message the hotel months in advance asking if the half board food had vegetarian options and did not get a response but presumed it would be ok as it is a heavily patronised tourist area. When we got to our designated table we were faced with two plates of raw meat. There were few veggie options and even the tofu looked like it had minced beef in it. But it is quite a Japanese style hotel rather so we rolled with it. As you do. "

The staff at T Hotel Ryuoo were excellent at hosting us and helping create an easy and seamless vacation, from shuttles to reservations. The restaurant staff was especially attentive and want to give a big thank you to that department. We felt comfortable in the space, highly recommended and we would definitely come back."
