"Our room was in the Coyote Lodge. The bedding was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was dated with a small shower stall. Lighting was not good (in the room or bathroom) and the bathroom floor wasn’t clean—especially around the edges. This was the first day of the season and it wasn’t clean! The ice machine didn’t work. The internet didn’t work either. There are no TVs in national park hotels so it made for a long night. Guests should be warned what cell services work at the lodge. T-Mobile does NOT. Luckily there is a room phone to let my family know I was safe. There were 2 restaurants but only 1 was open. And it required a reservation which it seemed that it wasn’t just us who didn’t know that! Thankfully a front desk manager was able to get us a reservation. In fact most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. National Park hotels are expensive and often dated with limited services. The only convenience from what I can tell is that you don’t have to wait in the gate entrance line every morning. This will be my last stay at a park hotel."
