"Beautiful area, of course we're in Austria! Traffic through the Fernepass was atrocious, which is right near Obsteig. Construction was in process across the road from hotel and the trucks that traveled the road all night that our room overlooked were very loud. No A/C so leaving windows open was a must. "Loved how close it was to sites yet away from crowds."
"This lodging was exactly as the pictures show! Each cottage has everything you will need for a night stay or a week long stay; plates, cups, silverware, pots, pans, toaster, mini fridge, etc. It was easy to get into after hours with the door code that was given via email the day of arrival, clean, updated, and the views are amazing. Coming from the United States I was concerned about communication with the staff, but they were all VERY friendly, spoke English, and very prompt in email communication. The town of Ehrwald is so quaint with restaurants and local shopping. This is a great place to set up base camp for hiking, skiing, or just sightseeing in the Bavarian Alps. "
