Hotels in Mid-City

"The parking lot is sketchy. The rooms are horribly upgraded. I reserved the queen kitchenette and was told my room wasnt ready when i checked in at 3pm and was told to come back. I told them no. I traveled over 7 hours with a baby. This pleace is absolutely horrible, getto as hell. Half the people here LIVE here permanently. One is a creepy old drunk guy that does not stop talking. They do not serve breakfast as advertised. They wont clean ur room or give you anything extra or clean towels. You have to walk to the office and get it yourself. The phones dont work. Just dont. Go elsewhere. This place absolutely SUCKS. Stayed here 3/27/2026. "

"Three stars for three reasons: (and this is just my opinion when paying for what should be more than a hotel room) First, their definition of "bay view" means overlooking the parking lot and the main building to see the bay beyond that. Still a nice view, but a little over-sold. Second, they charge a $48/day "resort fee" on top of what youre already paying...apparently the Wifi is part of that, but hardly worth taking the time to log into it. Last, bring your own coffee. They do supply two k-cups (and one decaf, but that doesnt count) and powder creamer, I would love to see the resort fee go toward a little better... But you can buy a $6 cup at 7am from their food truck... All that said- on a good note - the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The pool was well kept and maintained and clean. The beach is kept nicely groomed as well. And its a very short walk to the ocean beach, amusement park, and lots of shops and restaurants."

"The Sheraton gave a completely misleading impression. I booked a bay-view room, but they put me on the 4th floor with a 65-foot balcony blocking the entire view. When I asked to switch, they claimed they were full. Room service was a disaster—I ordered twice, and both times, after waiting forever, I had to go pick it up myself despite being charged a $5 delivery fee. And don't even get me started on the pool service; getting a simple bottle of water was a total nightmare."

"The room we stayed at smelled like dirty feet but they let us check in early so we didnt ask to get switched to another room ( we were going to be out and about most of our stay so we just stayed in that room.) The air conditioning doesnt seem to work well. I dropped it to lowest setting (60 something degrees) and room still felt stuffy and a little warm at time but again we were mostly there to sleep. Last night when we arrived, no parking. We had to park in a parking garage about a 10 min walk on 3rd floor. There is definitely not enough parking in front or side of hotel and the off site parking was a good walk away. The biggest and most concerning problem was the bed bugs and the way the situation was approached. Housekeeping came and took bugs (2) in a cup and left. Upon checking out my parking of $28 a day was waived. I feel the whole stay should be refunded. This is disgusting. The bed bugs was crawling on my daughters chest. "
