The hot tub was perfect after a day or exploring the region. View from the room was incredible.
This small hotel is picturesque and perfect for a quiet stay on a driving itinerary in Iceland. The view from hot tub is spectacular and the rooms new and well appointed
This property is a gem! It’s a small country hotel with spectacular valley views! There is a beautiful outdoor soaker tub and the rooms are new and clean. It’s a bit off the ring road but well worth getting away from the city lights for a chance to see the Aurora which we did! Great value for money!
It was a a very beautiful stay. Restaurant was very romantic and food was great. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to travel to somewhere a little more remote.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast was delicious and the hot tub was wonderful. The peaceful surroundings was just what we needed.
Great hotel. Everything was very modern and well kept. Service and food was also great. We enjoyed our dinner there. Breakfast buffet had enough choices to keep us full.
Perfect hospitality and serenity. Off the beaten path, but charming and absolutely worth a visit. The Basalt Hotel is in a convenient location centrally located to see the sights in Iceland.
This is a gem of a hotel! The views were absolutely spectacular. It was so relaxing to check in, unpack and have a lovely dinner right there. The hot tub experience is unparalleled!!! You have to see it to believe it. The complementary breakfast was delicious and the staff friendly. I would definitely return here if in the area!!
We loved our stay! Recommend staying here to experience Iceland off the beaten path. You can have dinner here. Breakfast is included. Enjoy the tub outside! Very stunning views.
Very beautiful and peaceful location. Room was excellent, the breakfast very good and plentiful. Staff were friendly and helpful. It may be off the beaten path, but it is well worth it!
Ok, let's just acknowledge right upfront this hotel is a little bit off the beaten path! But the htel is new (opened 2022, I believe), clean, well appointed, comfortable. and quiet And the staff is wonderful.
This hotel was in a beautiful area! Lots of opportunities for hiking and sight seeing. The room was the biggest room we had in all of Iceland - which was a perfect recharge. They even had 1 or 2 board games in the lobby to play at the end of the day! Only complaint would be the breakfast was very minimal - it was the smallest/worst breakfast option we had on our trip. Otherwise, great hotel!
