Surprise package, we enjoyed the hotels location, comfortable beds. The parking was a bit tricky to find, if you are driving make sure you call the hotel first and get the address for parking. After that leave the car parked and easy to get to the light rail and/or train and explore Sydney.

Old world charm

The hotel had an old world charm and was comfortably appointed. Unfortunately we waited at reception for 10 mins whilst lone receptionist dealt with incoming phone calls. The room was worn but pleasant. The air conditioning was somewhat inconsistent and we found the bed a bit too soft.

The staff at Castlereagh worked hard for our high rating. They were so thoughtful and kind, helping my two children and I whenever we were in need. We loved our spacious yet cozy room and our comfy beds. Everything we needed was within walking distance, including all means of PT. We were all very comfortable and grateful for our stay here, and highly recommend this hotel.
