"Great glamping experience! Spacious and comfortable tent. Personal bathroom with shower. Great shared kitchen with small breakfast included. Lots of drinkable water included. Staff were very nice. Only one of the bikes in working condition and the rest were in desperate need of repair. Make sure to bring bug repellant. The pool was not as advertised, but fine. There is a great cenote and cave nearby to enjoy. "

"Esthetically beautiful. Good place for relaxation. Not for singles looking to mingle. There aren’t many events scheduled. Staff does not provide a list of events daily. They want you to use app but it isn’t listed in detail there either. Schedule your restaurants weeks before arrival if you want to have a chance to eat there. The food was horrible. More older people or families with young children. It is a good distance from anything else and taxi rides are expensive. Drinks are watered downs. Best to get shots with chasers. Most staff member are paying more attention to their cell phones than guest. There is no minibar in room. There is a small fridge with one Pepsi, one gingerale, two beers. Two bags of chips and box of juice. When i booked swim up it said adults only. Our neighbors had small children that kept coming to our side."

"This is my second time to the property having stayed at one of the other properties on the resort last time. What you need to know is Tequila is associated with Coba resort and you have access to things within those two resorts ONLY, but you cannot go off those two resorts to use other amenities on the other resorts. Buffet at Tequila is very limited. Staff is super helpful, very friendly and some of the systems that are in place with Hyatt having taken over by here just doesn’t have the same feel as it did when I was there two years ago."

"There’s a reason why my husband and I have travelled to this resort three times! Secrets Akumal checks off all of our boxes in terms of service, location, food, and amenities. The staff are wonderful, friendly and attentive, and our room was always spotless with turn down service at night! Snorkelling is also big on our list and we have seen everything from sting rays, turtles, barracudas and many different kinds of reef fish. The resort grounds are lush and beautiful with many lovely flowers and palms. Each path has something different to look forward to! We’d like to give a huge shout- out to Baltazar at the Oceana restaurant for his attentiveness, and for making our last dinner on the resort a memorable one! He truly went above and beyond. If you travel to Secrets Akumal, you will dream about going back!"

"Our overall vacation was excellent. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. All was clean and the facilities are great. The only thing we found a little less than our expectations was that some evening entertainment had additional charges and the buffet was largely the same each day, although the food was really good. Despite the sargassum problem the beach was well kept. We are likely to return. "

"The bath drain was full of rust and the water came out brown , when my friend took a bath the whole room was flooded without the bath even being full .. they tried go say that it was our fault until the supervisor came up and saw that the the plumbing system was in fact broken, didn’t offer compensation and didn’t even offer us new towels when they clearly saw we used them all to try to clean up the flood. 2 pairs of designer sandals were stolen and then they refused to let me look in the lost and found and then when I asked for the cameras , they gave me the go around and never came through. "
