"The hotel itself was decent. We only booked for 1 day stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We arrived at 12:30 but check in time was 3pm so we did wait for about 45mins to get into our room. The area around the hotel seems as though it’s a developing area, it was pretty dirty and seems like it was a local community, with loose dogs running around. The room overall was nice and clean despite the shower. The chrome in the shower head and sink were eroded and rusty. I tried to clean it...

The staff is extra helpful and I appreciated the welcoming ceremony upon arrival. "This is a very well operated Hotel. Easy access to all Tulum has to offer without the inconvenience of the beach road Hotels. I have stayed in most of the 4 to 5 star Hotels in Tulum over the past 20 years and prefer the Aloft. Its a very friendly Hotel that you can really enjoy with all the restaurants and shops within walking distance. I will be returning to Tulum again shortly and will again stay at the Aloft ."
