"Great historic property with exceptional staff. Really great food, like the best home cooked food, with the freshest ingredients imaginable. The sea bream was exceptional, the octopus melts in your mouth and the homemade olive oil gelato was so good, I would willingly fly back to Portugal, just to taste it again. Quintessential Portugal par excellence!"

"Hotel and the room was very clean and of a good standard Our only issue would be the food it came to our table cold when we order dinner Also my daughter did the half marathon and when we returned she asked for some ice for her knee, she was told she would have to pay for the cup to put it in. Slightly disappointed with some of the staff’s attitude "

"Hotel itself was fantastic, well located, accommodating, clean and had a very nice atmosphere. The room was beautiful, view was lovely and the aircon was good. You could hear the street noise in the background in the evenings but did not bother me or my partner one bit. Only criticism I would say is the breakfast is limited and did become repetitive after a few days but the food itself was nice! Overall no complaints and would 100% return "

"Overall, the stay was good. I would rate this place a 3 star, as some of the overall amenities were slightly lacking (faucet was a little loose, private bathroom wasnt totally private, bed was a lil springy. But the staff were excellent, the room was clean and we got free water which was awesome. "
