"The property was in close proximity to the beach i.e. walking distance in just 10 minutes. The reason for only 4 stars on the question of the room is not everyone likes fat pillows. I used 2 towels as a pillow and it worked out fine. I guess in their defense though, every place I've stayed only has fat pillows. I guess I should know by now to bring my own. lol"

"Nice quiet Hotel with a small rooftop pool, beer/wine bar and restaurant. The location is great, about a 20 minute walk to the historic district that has plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and museums. There's a small taco shop across the street and a pub next door. This hotel is a great option if you want to visit St. Augustine but don't want to deal with the traffic downtown. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean and ice cold (great added bonus for the florida summer heat). They also have a covered parking lot. Overall I had great experience for a low price and will definitely return for my next trip. Cannot recommend enough!"
