The Hotel was not bad but it was not clean and the internet was awful, the housekeeping did not wash the glass and teacup and just put the dirty ones back every day, when I first arrived at the hotel the sheets were not cleaned and I asked them to change it, The reception and Handy man were polite and tried to all their best to make us comfortable. the internet speed was very bad and disconnected so many times. the location was wonderful and near to every corner of berlin.

Lots of stairs and a back packer vibe
Be warned, we should have realized this in the name "Upper room hotel", that there are lots of stairs to climb. There is an elevator but you have to climb a steep set of stairs to get to the elevator and then another set of stairs to get to the reception area, which is on the 4th floor then our room was on the 5th floor, which was only accessible by a spiral staircase that was almost impossible to navigate with luggage. Location was great and room was fairly nice but the long trek up creaky stairs to get to the room kind of ruined the experience. I wouldn't stay there again.

They give you only one keycard per room and that is not enough. Otherwise good location and good service. Be ready to climb up the stair.

Positive: stuff very nice and happy to help. Good location, well connected and full of restaurants, galleries and oarks in the nearby. Really good breakfast. Negative: the hotel doesn’t provide a safe room where to leave the lugagge before the check-in. They tell you to leave it in the breakfast room but it's open and they do not get any responsibility if someone steal your bags. The room furniture was quite old and not as nice as in the pics.

Excellent location.
I have been using the extra time during the COVID lockdown to learn German. Several instructors and classmates suggested that I visit Berlin. I am a financial executive in career transition and many people in my industry have visited the city also. I finally got a chance to visit. Although generally a trip to visit the city, it is also some kind of preparation for career purposes.

Let’s be real this is an extra budget European hotel. Lumpy beds, a crazy haul up to the reception area, no AC, musty smell and for us in the apartment it had a very strange window in the bathroom and I could literally see kids playing soccer in the courtyard that would come up to the window while I was on toilet. I felt like they were right next to me. It was quiet at night mostly and the fam helped for us to sleep. Staff was very nice and the room was mostly clean. It was ok for the money but won’t be back.

저희는 네명이라서 시티센터에서 좀 떨어져있어도 우버로 왔다갔다했지만 걸어다닐 거리는 아니구요 딱 가격에 맞는 위치와 시설이라고 생각하심 돼요ㅎㅎ.. 방 방음이 잘안돼서 옆방때문에 시끄러웠고 그거말고는 가격이 싸니까 기대를 안해서 그런지 그냥 그랬어요

This hotel was pretty great! Located over the most amazing burger place, and a cocktail bar. It was a little noisy at night, but not too bad. Inside was gorgeous, there was parking, and it was located close to a lot of attractions!

Basic room but no communication from hotel
He hotel itself is fine. Bed is not most comfortable one but it is good for couple of days. The problem is communication. I sent 3 messages on hotel.com and a special request to ask about late night check in. No replies back. Although they do send out something that looks like automatic messages about the stay.

Good location, but If you are looking for a quite place, just forget it. You would hear all sort of noises. I couldn't sleep. Very dusty and old building, with too many stairs. Very poor customer service. Staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. It was sunday and I asked for some basic information about shops and he gave me totally wrong information. They use the word "NO' very generously. It was night time and asked for one extra tea bag and he said we don't have it, which was really surprising.pillows were extremely uncomfortable. And over all was not a good experience.

Rooms looked nothing like the photos, WiFi and air con are expensive. Showers were good I suppose. Biggest issue was some of the staff at the front desk were unwilling to engage in any actual customer service. The main name on our room missed his flight, so when we got there they tried to not let us check in and if I remember correctly when asking what we could do the staff member replied "I don't know you figure it out", thankfully expedias customer service department were a lot more helpful and got it sorted out for us. Wouldn't recommend even if it's a decent price.
