"Stayed one night for music event nearby. Location perfect for walking into city centre & train station. Very clean, food good, beds super comfy. Kettle, tea, coffee & towels all available to use in our room. Staff very friendly & attentive. Parking at rear was FOC - nice perk! Very quiet at night - our room was at rear. After returning from our gig on a cold wet April night, it was so so nice to open the front door and the central heating had been put on. 😊"

"The hotel is in a very convenient location close to the city centre and cathedral. It is a historic building but we stayed in the fairly modern extension, which was a nice, spacious room with good facilities for tea and coffee etc. Breakfast was plentiful and you could order from a good range of cooked options including full English. Staff were friendly and helpful."

"Managed free overnight parking opposite. Worked well combined with family visit. Had a quiet en-suite room plus a bathtub. What a treat. Offerred lots choices for breakfast - standard cost for all options. All the staff I met were lovely. Very friendly and it felt more like a family business than merely ‘corporate’."
