"We stayed here and it was a lovely stay. Great food and the staff went out of their way to be helpful and supportive. Highly recommend staying here! The location is up on the hill but it’s great for being next to the cathedral, next to the brewery and from here you can start hiking across to see the views and into the wetland centre. "Lovely large sea view room that was nicely decorated and had a super king bed and bath and shower . Very high ceilings and large full height windows gave an excellent sea view. The only downside was noisy traffic outside but ok if you use earplugs ."

"I booked 3 rooms. At check in 1 of the rooms had not been cleaned. There were viagra tablets left on bedside cabinet, wine bottles in the bin and bed had not been made. Staff were extremely apologetic and instantly provided a new room. There were no problems with the other 2 rooms. They were all clean and the location perfect for the seafront and Brighton Lanes. Despite the problem with the room not being cleaned I would definitely rebook again"

Air con situation was a pain, we called to check the room had air con before booking they said yes so we booked then got to the hotel and were put in a non air con room. We asked to move to an air con room and they moved us so had no idea why they didn’t put us in that room in the first place. I wouldn’t book here again as clearly can’t rely on whether you will get an air con room or not. Everything else was good apart from this situation but it is off putting."

"Ideal location next to the railway station and an easy walk to the lanes and the beach. Staff were very helpful, although it appeared that there were often too few of them, and were a bit overwhelmed. Room was typical Ibis, reasonably basic, pod style bathroom, but clean and great value for money. Breakfast was okay, food could have been warmer, but no real complaints, it compares with other hotels in this price point. We have relatives in Brighton, and will use this hotel for future visits."
