The property was dirty with rusted shower head, broken lights, dirty shower tray, cigarettes in the toilet, marks on wall, open roof hatch, broken door and marked bedding. The room smelt strongly of smoke and the windows were dirty. We did not stay and had to find alternative accommodation. The bed could not be used as it was so dirty and the shower unsafe. I have stayed in basic hotels before but this was dirty, smelly and unsafe.

Good for price but do not expect much
They told us that checkin is available since 9pm however there was nobody in 8pm. I had to call staff and thankfully she explained to me how to make self checkin. That was not a good start however the next day they kindly offered a free breakfast. Bed was not comfortable however, all other stuff was nice. lady in the reception was so kind , and helpful.

For the undemanding.
Fantastic location. Everywhere nearby. We were in December, so the radiators were a big plus, which were only on the first day, but there was also air conditioning that could be heated at night. Towels not changed even once for a 3 night stay. The room was only cleaned once (after the second night). The big downside was the terrible stench upon entering the hotel. The smell was no longer felt in the room.

Cheap cheerful with friendly staff
A group of us came over to Catania to take part in Etna parkrun. We chose this hotel due to it being close to Catania centre and the value plus the fact we could book all the rooms so it was just us. The hotel staff were very friendly and helped us with anything we needed. The only downside we had was the market was right outside the hotel so every 5am some of our party were woken by the noise of them setting up.

Comfortable Hotel
Check in was easy and staff were friendly and helpful. Overall the room was spacious and comfortable, the shower area has a lot of mold. Shower Screen was not very effective and could do with replacement. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was average typicla of Italian Hotels. Location was very good with easy access to the city area and restaurants. Hotel is dated and tired needs a refurb. However overall we were happy with our stay. If arriving by car be aware that the streets around the hotel are taken up by daily markets from 5am to 2pm.

Catania chaos and nightmare.
Everybody should know that this hotel is in the middle of a big daily market that lasts from 5am to 2pm. It is impossible to get there by car in those hours. It is difficult to read the street names because the stands cover them. A nightmare. The surrounding area is a representation of all third worlds. And to consider that Catania in that area is highly congested even without the market. Save yourself unnecessary aggravations. Stay out of Catania and go into the city on a public bus.

Conveniently located comfortable 3-star hotel
I'm quite satisfied with my stay in this hotel, even though I have some critics too, but they are more about the neighborhood than about the hotel. The hotel is not big (actually occupies the second floor in a building). The first thing you need to know is that you shouldn't look for a big sign, but for a small plate by the door. The second warning is about the reception working hours, which are only 6-21. So for late arrivals or extremely early check-outs you might have some problems. Apart from that, everything in the rooms looks and feels good, breakfast is nice for Italy and a 3-star property, and the service is the best of all - including the English everybody there speaks. The good things... Free breakfast, free and fast wifi, very convenient location, just meters from one of the stops of the airport bus (named Alibus). Walking distance to the historic center (less than 1 km, via one of the main shopping streets in Catania). The not so good... At first the area doesn't look very well - not too clean, with a lot of street vendors around, mostly African migrants, but actually they proved to present no security risk whatsoever - and there is enough police everywhere. Also the distance to the extraurban bus and train stations is 1.2 km and one day there will be metro to there, but it's not working yet - and because Google knows nothing about the local transport options, you'll most probably have to walk.

Great little hotel/B&B in the heart of Catania
Nice hotel, perfect for visiting Catania and being in the heart of the attractions. Not very close to the beaches but still centrally located. Rooms were nice and clean, decent size. Could have used some better pillows or more pillows....front desk was closed by the time I realized this fact, so perhaps if I would have asked they would have supplied more. The staff I had exposure to was very helpful,checking in was smooth. He was able to help me with arranging a taxi to airport at 4:30am. Fixed rate was 30 euro. Seemed steep but not a lot of options at that time of the day. Took us about 12-15 mins to get to airport - obviously no traffic at that time.

Shopping Galore
I went for a short break with my family, perfect locations, every shop is walking distance. The charming market is under the hotel so you won't have any problem finding it. The Hotel staff is very help full and the rooms are spacious and tidy. We had no noise issues although it is in the very centre of Catania. Thank you Santo for our stay, see you soon.

Advertised city view was not observable from our room. Disappointing. Downside: noisy setting up of market stalls in street below our room from 05.00 ensured that we did not sleep in! Good staff with good english. Taxi fare from train station is approx €8. If ordering a taxi through hotel insist on taxi with meter rather than a courtesy car @ €25!!

Nothing works
This hotel takes up the second floor of a buisiness building near the market. From my window menacing men waved and invited me down if I didn't keep my window closed. I tried to watch the Euro Cup game on my TV, but it did not even turn on. They moved me and all of the things I had unpacked to a different room, this one had a TV that lost its signal every 15 seconds. There was a mini refiridgerator which also did not work. They took great pains to type up and put in plastic a list of emergency numbers next to the phone along with how to make a call, but the phone line was dead. I asked the man and young woman who hang out in the lobby watching TV and eating pizza if I could get a refund for the second day so that I could check into a real hotel since none of the amenities listed on the website were available and was told "no refunds" by the young woman . I had hot water on the first morning for a shower, but the water was cold for the next 30 hours, even if you let it run for 5 or 10 minutes, no hot water. Giorgia, who is at the desk in the morning, is the only employee who should not be fired. She is very polite and helpful.

It's in the middle of the street market and shopping district. If you're looking for something, anything this is the place. There is a large parking structure near the hotel with reasonable rates. There was a water problem during my stay but the staff attended to it quickly. Still enjoyed my stay.

Clean hotel that is accessible and close to town.
The hotel was a little difficult to find because it was inconspicuous, especially when markets were blocking the entrance. The hotel staff were very friendly in helping us find buses from Catania to other cities. The rooms were decent and clean. It was a very enjoyable stay, especially for that price.

Good hotel
The hotel was very difficult to find. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Perfect Customer Service. The market below was quite noisy and the single beds were very small. Good location - in town centre with easy access to bus and train stations. The hotel is good and clean.

Short break to experience some of Sicily. The staff were very friendly and helpful in assisting us with planning what to see and how to get there. The hotel is on the first floor and the signs are not clearly visible. Looks out for the Hotel's flags at 1st floor level for quick locating. A market operates outside the hotel daily and setting up sounds can be heard in the mornings.

See beyond the exterior
Although we arrived in wet conditions, we found the hotel very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful in all aspects. The hotel is located centrally but its not the most picturesque area. The breakfast is quite good with a variety of foods.

Close to city centre but market immediately outside. Not noisy but impossible for taxi to park. Convenient for most attractions, buses and trains. No balcony or outside areas , just room and bar area where breakfast was served. Not suitable for families

The prettiest girls in Catania work here
It was a great location close to historic district and street markets set up directly outside. Hotel is on second level of building similar to many places I've stayed in Sicily. The owner is a genius hiring all these gorgeous girls working there lol. But they were professional and friendly and one spoke English fluently. She was amazing and if she reads this I hope she contacts me

Best location to explore Catania!
I was in Catania for 4 days to attend a wedding and associated festivities. This was the perfect location and everything I needed, especially to sleep in late (blackout curtains, AC, quiet, etc.) The staff was super helpful and even let me store my luggage until my room was ready (I showed up at 7am) so I could go explore the old part of the city, which is only a few blocks away. Hotel is located in a great area with an outdoor market just outside the door, cafe/bars across the street and an awesome grocery store 1.5 blocks down.

Good central location
This hotel is good value - a central location, clean rooms and considerate helpful staff at an affordable price. It is recommended as a good place to stay within walking distance of all the main tourist sites in central Catania plus the Railway/Bus Station which gives easy access to day trips to Taoromina, Etna and Siracusa.

Nice hotel at the heart of Catania
Very good budget hotel at the centre of Catania. The host Giuseppe speaks very well in English, which is very rare in most Sicilian hotels. He was extremely helpful during our stay, going out of his way to help us. The beds are comfortable, the washrooms are very clean, the location is ideal. There is noise outside from pubs but you can't expect it to be quiet in the centre of Catania. I think that rooms that face the interior courtyard are probably quieter than those facing the street. The hotel is located on the 6th floor of a building and the facilities were great for us. There were also very good snacks provided in a fridge in our room that were included in the price...that and the free tea/coffee really made a difference to us.

Pleasant evening in a crowded Sicilian city
This would have been a great place for a walk around central Catania. Unfortunately I arrived late and had an early flight. What I did enjoy about my visit was my early-morning walk around the open-air market which I saw being set up from my second-floor (Euro-first floor) window. Clean, very pleasant staff who wanted to ensure a good stay.

Amazing hotel for the price
If you must have the standard American hotel experience, move on. This is Europe and the hotel is located on the 2nd floor of a normal building. It seems strange but it's very nice. The breakfast was good and the wifi is strong. It's also one block from a 24/7 parking structure. Don't park on the street as in the morning there is a street market and you'll be trapped.

Convenient budget hotel in Catania
The hotel is on the second floor of what seems to be an office building by the outdoor market just east of the Via Etnea and just north of the Corso Sicilia. Simple but comfortable and was quiet at night (although the market vendors start setting up early, around 6 or 6:30 am). I was satisfied with the price-value equation, and breakfast was satisfactory.

Great hotel & great location
This was the best hotel experience I have had. The owners, Alessio and Gabriele, were incredibly helpful, as a non-Italian speaking, solo traveler they helped so much in getting me to where I wanted to go and suggesting places to eat and things to see. They were always ready with a genuine smile for all guests and would be incredibly efficient if you had any need. I plan on going back to Sicily someday (after I've been to a couple of other places I also need to see) and when I do I will definitely choose this hotel again. The location is exactly where I needed to be. Close to the center where you have the best architecture, food and drink and there are two main bus stations that can then take you to various other parts of Sicily such as Syracusa and Agrigento (both must sees) for little more than 9 Euros return. Also the staff will book your much needed tour to Mount Etna, this experience was like nothing else. I enjoyed it so much I went back twice!

This is a new hotel, and everything is very fresh. The staff are really friendly and helpful. As soon as I walked in the door I knew I had made a good choice. The recptionist made a great dinner recommentation. The only problem I had was finding the hotel. The signage is not good, just a banner quite high up. As I wandered the area I thought I had made a bad mistake, but as soon as I found it all was well. I didn't have the breakfast but it both looked and smelled wonderful. (To find the hotel take the street via St. Maria Betlem to the right of the dual carriageway when heading away from station/airport, there are flags on the building. The same street is on both sides of the dual carriageway so it can be confusing).

Central location, convenient for site seeing
We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel centrally based close to the main attractions. This hotel was ideal. Everything we wanted to see was within 5 to 15 minutes walking distance. The staff were very helpful and provided a useful map to help us plan our days. There was a local market nearby which was very interesting to shop at. There was a little bit of noise when the market set up / was dismantled, but this did not disturb us. In fact, it was quite entertaining to watch the market from the bedroom window. Catania is a super place to visit and we found lots to do. We saw a ballet competition at the theatre, a religious procession followed by a service at the cathedral and an open air carol concert at the university square. Breakfast at the hotel was a buffet which was pleasant.

If you want to be near the center of town this is a Hotel to consider. The staff was very helpful and courteous and room were clean - would stay here again!
