"The lobby is beautiful and we found the location ideal. We used Grab taxis to go everywhere, They were very cheap. The staff are so helpful and very friendly. The breakfast buffet has an amazing selection of food. The pool was accessible, as the hotel catered for a lot of business men, it was never busy and adequate sunbeds. We were in the rainy season so never stayed by the pool all day, also off sightseeing. The only criticism is the room smelt a bit, the rest of the hotel has piped scent throughout which smells lovely."

"From checking in and warm welcoming to the hotel was excellent and never experienced such great hospitality and services we had from the get go! Cleaning the rooms from the staff was extremely helpful and going beyond what you need for help around the city and WiFi is excellent everywhere you go on the property. The breakfast buffet I highly recommend everyone MUST have! I’ll be rebooking every year for this hotel rated 3 Star but with the experience I had I rate them 5 Star hotel. Please give a good big tip (Please be very generous with your tip) people there are making a living from tipping, please consider and put in your thoughts ❤️ for the workers there they are working so hard to make everyone happy!"

It starts at the door and continues through the staff that operates as a team. I’m always amazed how I feel like an MVP when I enter the door at New World hotel Mr Quok’s concierge team is fabulous. After this trip, I made a point to get everyone’s name that had treated me the best that I’ve ever been treated, at a hotel. Thank you! "The Rex is located in the very heart of District 1 in Saigon.. moments from the Walking Street and other iconic attractions such as the Post Office and Notre Dame. The style of the hotel is quite old school with dark woods and classic design. Bed firm and comfortable with a pillow menu. Ironing set delivered via concierge available by email at all times. We had a view of the central Square which had huge screens and a buzz of traffic and tourists. Highlights - the buffet breakfast is literally 10/10 and every day the menu differs slightly. We appreciated the friendly warm staff and expert chefs preparing international and Vietnamese classics. The two swimming pools were a welcome break from sightseeing and the fitness centre has all you need for a workout. I used the sauna too which was great. The lack of sockets is always a slight issue in older hotels but we managed to charge our phones by unplugging lamps or the kettle! A convenient lighting and clock control was beside the bed. Room was made up every morning by an exceptional team of cleaners. Our only issues were around quality of sleep- the streete noise wasn't the issue, some mornings there seemed to be a 7am conference below us which was a disruption for a couple having a relaxing holiday. The curtains were not blackout which meant we awoke with the sun at 6ish, fully glowing into the room. For a 5* I'd expect full blackout curtains and better soundproofing. Overall a great stay for four nights in October."
