Homey little place
The grounds are beautiful. It is a bit away from town and the shuttle is not free? As advertised. No street noise but the roosters are relentless. Very clean. Beds are miserable, but the lovely staff did what they could to fix them. Breakfast is fine, and the two very shy hosts do what they can for you. Amm at front desk was very lovely and helpful, as were the room staff.

Short break in Chaing Rai
Fairly good location but a long walk into town and you need to take a cab in the heat. Staff very helpful and friendly. Nice pool to relax by if you want a break from sightseeing. Very convenient having the restaurant on site. We had an air condition unit leak which was attended to immediately and we were provided with a new room without question or fuss. The only thing that put me off slightly was the window feature in the rooms bathrooms, very odd, but I guess if you're in the habit of chatting to your partner whist they are in the shower or on the loo, its ok! Lots of complimentary items. Slightly noisy at times but mostly due to other guests, not the staff.

This is our second stay at Maryo. It is a lovely oasis in Chiang Rai. We appreciate the helpful staff and the lovely pool. Our only complaint is that the AC in our last room was not sufficiently cool, and we had a somewhat warmer night than we like.

Large modern, clean comfortable rooms, nice bed, breakfast quite good by local standards. Very pretty tropical garden and pool, though not a very convenient location for town, but they do have a shuttle bus.

The staff was very helpful. They assisted in finding us the perfect tour for what we were looking for and it was the best priced offer available. The grounds and pool were spectacular! Free shuttle service available to the night bazaar was a nice touch. My husband and I are vegan, so our only recommendation would be to offer a vegan option for the breakfast besides toast and fruit. Even the potato dish had eggs. This didn’t come as a surprise as we had the same issue at almost everywhere we stayed on our holiday. A great find for sure and we would definitely recommend!

Mix service rendered by counter staff. On the first night that we arrived, the staff check us in and without informing us brought us to a double bed room when we had actually booked two singles bed without informing us in advance. Their explanation? That they only had one room left.Instead of informing us at the check in they tried their luck hoping we had accept it by bringing us directly to the room. Without remorse or any intention to help the counter staff reason that it wasn't stated in the booking that we wanted single beds and luckily we had our booking receipt with us to prove her wrong. She claimed that she will inform the senior counter staff the next morning and hopefully she can arrange another room for us. The next morning when we went to the counter, the staff that took over was clueless about this issue and we had to repeat it all over again but luckily she was much helpful. One bad staff really affects the overall experience, though all other staff at the hotel were delightful to speak to.

Perfect hotel!!
We LOVED this hotel!! The property is adorable, it was quiet at night, they offer a free shuttle to the night market, free breakfast with lots of options, and the staff was absolutely amazing!!! Everyone was so friendly and helpful at this hotel. They called taxis when we needed, provided us details on activities to do in the area, and carried our luggage for us! We loved this hotel so much and are so glad we stayed here! I highly recommend this hotel!!!

Great value for money
Great 2 night stay at Maryo Resort.Very clean, modern rooms with good Wi-Fi and an added bonus of free snacks and a coke can in the room for free! Breakfast was ok but nothing to write home about. The restaurant annoyingly plays one song on repeat, I feel sorry for the staff who have to listen all day!! Location is a bit out of town however the shuttle in the evening was good, the two tours we did picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel and we also got Grabs around at other times which worked out well. So I wouldn't say it's an issue, just one to be aware of if you want to be in walking distance to the town! Only negative for me was the noise in the morning from other guests (big tour group) and also cleaners (from 7am). Other than that, it was a very peaceful stay.

Nice hotel, a little out of the way
Staff, very welcoming, manager went out of her way to tell us about good places to visit- in the town. If your staying on Sunday the evening Sunday market is good. Lots of good food stalls and lively entertainment, where tourists and locals join in.

OK.. But no restaurant..
Hotel room was fine and breakfast options were good. However the hotel restaurant is closed and there is no meals during the day or evening. We booked a day trip with the hotel which was great. But we were unable to order any food at the hotel on our return. They should be advising the restaurant is closed prior to accepting bookings. Local food places in the area area closed by 8pm. Hotel is not offering the facilities it is advertising..

Best value in Chiang Rai
Very nice room; spacious, modern and clean. The grounds are in the middle of neighborhoods, but they've done a decent job of making it feel otherwise. Breakfast was above average, especially the Asian dishes. Overall a good choice, and probably the best value in Chiang Rai.

Nice Resort But Bring A Sandwich
It actually was a very pleasant place to stay. However, make plans regarding where to eat prior to arriving and how you plan tol get transportation to and from where you wish to dine. There are also not much in the way of convenience stores in the immediate area (walking distance) such as 7-11s. You can find a limited number of everyday Thai restaurants and street vendors within a 1 km radius. I live in Thailand so regular Thai restaurants and street vendors are my normal fare. In my case, I was on vacation and I wanted to go to some nicer restaurants. Also local transportation is sparse, unlike Chiang Mai where there are songtaws and tuk tuks everywhere. Maryo supplies transportation on Saturday to the Night Bazaar and Walking Street. On the last day of my stay I ended up walking to downtown Chiang Rai in order to get something to eat and find a 7-11 to buy snacks. However, the resort itself was very nice and deserves high marks for quality. I did enjoy my stay. I just wish I had a way to get around locally. That would have made the stay much more enjoyable.

Great little resort with lovely grounds.
This resort is a lovely little oasis off one of the main streets in Chiang Rai. The rooms are good for the price and the pool is nice. The staff in the restaurant are friendly and professional. The breakfast is very good. We will come back and stay in this hotel again.

Fabulous Hotel great location and service
This is a great place to stay. Centrally located, well appointed rooms and staff who go out of their way to make your stay an awesome experience. From the moment I arrived I was made to feel welcome. The staff assisted me with all my day trip arrangements including organising a wonderful tour guide and driver for a day and booking my bus ticket back to Chiang Mai. The free mini bus shuttle to town, the night markets and bus station made life easy. I would stay here again if I'm Chiang Rai and would definitely recommend this place to others

Best hotel in town
I rate this as the best hotel in Chiang Rai. It is a little out of the way but you book a free shuttle to town and back very easily and it is so quiet and friendly with breakfast included. Get the balcony room if you can , it is worth the extra. The pool is in the sunshine all day :) If you are planning a trip to see the white temple, Singha park etc ...Book a personal taxi at the hotel . We had a day trip of 6hours , we went to both and stopped for lunch at the stunning Singha park restaurant and the total cost was 800 bht . Excellent value for money.

Great value for the top quality services of this small hotel. One night kids next door where crying until midnight. I finally decided to gently complained and they offer me another room without moving just for sleeping, Then the owner went to see the guest next door and the mom took care of her kids who stopped crying right away. I didn't have to move to the other room but I really appreciated the gest. Fantastic team!
