The hotel itself is amazing! Very luxurious and pampering, the staff is very well trained and polite. Yet we did not like few things about the hotel policies.
First of all when we wanted to book a tour we were told that we are not allowed to book a tour from an outside company because its a private island. When comparing the price of the tour offered by the hotel and other companies, it became very clear to us that the hotel is totally taking advantage of the fact that we are on an island without too many choices.
The tour costed us around 300$, the boat was extremely old, actually the engine broke on our way back to the hotel, we had to wait for another boat to pick us up.
The meal served during the tour was extremely basic.
We were interested in exploring the city, it turns out that the only way to do that was to book a private boat to the city wich was very expensive as well. We literally felt like we were in a cage, totally taken advantage of.
Not to mention that everything was overpriced starting from bottled water ( around 230 pesos) to exchanging money ( they charge you extra 7 pesos for every dollar!!)
Apart from that i have to say that the staff is really friendly, our tour guide was awesome!! I highly recommend booking a tour with him. He is called jonald. He took the most amazing photos of us!
To sum it up, the place is amazing!! But extremely overpriced .
