"We battled a car breakdown and dodged snow, and the front desk and manager provided so much gracious help. This location is much more than a good place to stay…good people run it!"

"From my arrival, I was met with kindness and efficiency. The lobby was clean and nicely decorated. When I got to my room on floor 7, everything was tidy and well appointed. I had ample linens and toiletries. Within five minutes, the front desk called inquiring if my room was adequate. I appreciated that next level of hospitality. I had a small issue with a floor lamp not working and that was replaced within minutes. I stayed Wednesday through Saturday and each morning our lite breakfast was good and the breakfast room clean and stocked. I appreciated the variety of teas available and I also appreciated the communication in advance that breakfast would be lighter as they transitioned to a Trademark property. Regardless, we were pleased and fed. Parking was ample and free. I felt safe during my visit.
I will admit that I read the varying reviews prior to arrival, some of which were concerning. Still, with a very good rate and convenience to my friend’s home (I was in town for a funeral), I decided to take a chance. I am glad I did. I honestly do not understand some of the other poor reviews. I am picky and I found my stay to be lovely. "
"The room was spotless. The amenities were fantastic. We had the Hyacinth room and it had a jetted whirlpool tub, and a fireplace next to the bed. There was a beautiful breakfast in the morning and fresh cookies at night. It was a cozy, historic, quaint inn. It made this made our trip."
