Words cannot describe the smells we encountered. Arrived and checked in to a 'Deluxe' room and couldn't breathe with the thick smoke smell. Then saw the first dead cockroach and returned to reception to ask to upgrade. Paid 75 GBP to upgrade to a business suite and it wasn't much better. The thick smell of smoke on every furnishing cover was horrendous, and such a strong smell of vinegar when we turned the air conditioning on. Walls are filthy, with what appeared to be blood, cleaner didn't change cups or glasses but was in the room daily. Surprised not to have a fridge too. The suite was a really good size, and if it had been clean and didn't smell so badly, we would have been impressed. 40 minute taxi into central Shenzen.

The location is super convenient, and it‘s a short walk to the subway station. The room is clean and tidy, the bed is comfortable, the service is warm and considerate, and the cost performance is very high. I will stay here next time I come to Shenzhen!

"Lovely lobby, clean rooms, comfortable bedding, GREAT gym, cold plunge, sauna...amazing buffet breakfast, concierge was so helpful. The decor in rooms is very out dated and old but other than this - the hotel was great. I did not give it 5-stars for the old/outdated rooms but otherwise, excellent. ..."
