My husband and I stayed here while traveling (halfway point). Upon arrival the staff was friendly, room was clean and spacious, breakfast options were great!

The Hotel is absolutely Gorgeous.The staff is extremely friendly and helpful especially Zach at the fro t desk. Have us wonder restaurant options with a free shuttle ride too and back if we didn’t want to walk. We were in town for a concert at Wells Fargo Arena and got a complimentary shuttle saving us an Uber ride. Zach is right Best Martinis in Des Moines ( he dared us to proof him wrong- we couldn’t ) Small Hotel (51 rooms) in Downtown Des Moines is 5 🌟

The hotel was the perfect size. Not too big or too small. Check in was seamless and parking was very close (across the street). The decor was beautiful.

The hotel was beautiful, the staff was so welcoming and everyone greeted us with a smile. I loved the atmosphere and the room was so big and beautiful. I am a small business owner myself and yes, I will for sure share my experience there with my friends and family.

Excellent staff and beautiful hotel. Contemporaneous with a great flair. Nice breakfast and superb dinner choices close to the hotel. We were also close to our jazz concert we attended. Two thumbs up on the hotel!!

The property is so luxurious. The staff was so friendly and really went above and beyond what we have ever experienced at a hotel before. There is so much to look at and enjoy. It’s almost like a museum. The jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were a fantastic way to enjoy our evening. We ended with a nightcap at the in house bar. Drinks were incredible, and the bartender was phenomenal. We will be back for another visit!

The positives: The hotel is in a great location, the vibe is very cool with the vintage gentlemen’s club atmosphere, the fireplace rooms are spacious and beds were comfortable. The negatives: Our bed had dirty, clearly slept in sheets left on the bed. We were kindly accommodated by being given another room however that room also had dirty socks left in the corner of the room. The staff was gracious and came up to remove them. The sauna was not hot or ready to be used in the morning. There were little details that were notices as peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, crookedly hung towel bars, and crooked pictures on the wall. I certainly would say the staff and location were the best points. I would stay again just to see if their attention to detail improves.

We have stayed there a few times. It’s a nice hotel. Only issue is the traffic noise if you’re not used to that.

We do have interior room, that you will never hear the street noise. I'm sorry, we have talked to the city about this issue. This why we put sleep kits in the rooms.I can put a note in your folio that you would like a interior room. Sorry

Hotel was very nice, super pretty inside and out. Was a bit bummed about the hot tub not being hot, but I watched them fill it in the morning and figured it wouldn't be real hot till late. At least I know for a fact it was clean! The steam and sauna are incredible!

Charming and sophisticated property. Close to many dining options. Lovely bar. Love the steam room, dry sauna, and huge hot tub. Great choices for breakfast. Amazingly friendly staff! Will stay here again in the near future and highly recommend for it’s unique atmosphere!

The hotel was beautiful and smelled so nice! We really enjoyed our couple’s massage. We walked a little over a block to a great Italian restaurant. Car felt safe in the parking garage across the street. Front desk staff was incredibly kind
