There was a near-by grocery store open 24 hours, which we frequented, and taxis were always available. The rooms were spacious, beds comfortable, and all areas were very clean. It even had a washing machine. They gave us comfortable pajamas which we ended up purchasing. They saw us dressed up in kimonos and came outside to take pictures of us. Even told us where to pose so you could see the beautiful temple in the background. "Unbeatable location near Gion and very comfortable! I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Forza Kyoto. The location is easily the biggest highlight-it's right near Gion and within walking distance to pretty much everything, from great dining and shopping to transit. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with all the amenities and thoughtful details you need for an easy stay in Kyoto. It was a great, relaxing base to come back to after a long day of sightseeing. I would definitely stay here again!"
