"- elevator did not work during our 5 day stay. - first night 5 AM smoke alarm above our bed went off. We found it was only our room that was going off. 7 AM it went off again. Smoke alarms are not hard wired and Maintainence did not know how to change batteries. The manager came to our room at 930AM and changed the batteries. - upon check-in we requested NO complimentary spa treatments we would prefer comp. breakfast each morning. After the smoke alarm incendent the manager promised we would have comp. breakfast for our bad experience. - next morning we went to have breakfast and front desk said we had to pay there was not a note on file stating comp. breakfast. -location great, rooms large, pool OK with only 4 chairs. -manager does not care to follow through and ruined our trip. We will not return and will never recommend this hotel."

"Property was very clean. Rooms were clean and well stocked. The beach area is beautiful. The staff is awesome and we loved Oscar and Efrein! The food was great and coffee was amazing! This was our second time staying at Privlages and we hope to be back soon! Thank you for a great trip and memories!"

"This hotel is beautiful and the rooms are big especially for the price compared to other hotels on the island. Beach is there but no one swims in it unless you don’t mind playing with Mr. Crabs and Squidworth. We rented a golf cart and drove to other beaches so it all worked out. Budget friendly. Recommend eating out and seeing the island. Staff is great!"

"This is a beautiful property. That said, the listing was misleading regarding several advertised amenities. One of the primary reasons we selected this property was the advertised beach access. While there is direct access to the cliffside views, there is no actual direct access to the beach below. Guests must walk a considerable distance off-property to find a safe path down to the shoreline. Additionally, the listing photos strongly suggested the unit included a kitchen or at least some type of food preparation and refrigeration area. Upon arrival, we discovered there was no kitchen and not even a mini refrigerator available. We were also informed at check-in that the rooftop pool was under maintenance and unavailable during our stay. When we asked about the kitchen shown in the listing photos, we were told it belonged to a separate listing. We reasonably assumed it was a shared amenity, as many properties advertise common spaces this way. Unfortunately, this was more than a convenience issue. My wife recently underwent surgery and has strict dietary and medication storage requirements. Access to refrigeration was a major factor in choosing this property. Instead, we spent much of our stay searching for ice to keep medications and supplements at a safe temperature. No small task on an island without 24 hour stores. The property itself is lovely but the listing should more accurately reflect the amenities actually available so guests can make informed decisions."

"the view of this property wins above all and the staff are doing their best. I'd definitely come back--but hope to get a very reasonable rate. The kitchen (oven very old and in poor condition/microwave didn't work/coffee pot mini pot..we ended up buying a full-size at the grocery store/limited flatware/5 coffee cups for entire property), the pool and hot tub, loungers (many were broken), hot water in our room only worked half the time, and so on. BUT, our contact TITO was very responsive and did an excellent job, as did the housekeeper. NONE of these things made us not enjoy our stay--that's how gorgeous this location is and the restaurants within walking distance delicious. I hope this place is renovated and available next year when we come back."

"Great little hotel. Our room was very nice, large, good bathroom, and great water views from our balcony. The staff are amazing - so friendly. The location is good and easy two minute walk from the ferry. The pool was okay - We spent our days at the beach so didn’t really need a pool. I would stay here again for sure. "
