"This hotel is very well located, about 5 minutes away from north beach, which is amazing! The hotel is very clean, our room had two double beds, its bathroom, AC, and a small area with a refrigerator, a mini oven. It also has a small balcony facing a pedestrian only street with a lot of local shops and amazing restaurants. The personnel were very kind and friendly. Would definitely recommend and stay there again! "

"Great stay (overnight). Good air conditioning (quiet). Staff were great, friendly and always smiling. Small balcony off room, 2 double beds, refrigerator, small bathroom with a large shower (shower head could use a tightening or replacement - water spraying over) Quiet location, close to board walk. "The resort had a good layout and the space felt open and was really well designed compared to other resorts. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The vibe is really chill. Not a party resort vibe. The food was fantastic. Almost upscale dining level. Even the service was great. Personally I didn’t mind only having 1 or 2 restaurant options for each meal but I can see how that could be a bummer for some. Drinks were great although inconsistent in quality depending which bar you order from. Activities were cool and felt creative. Did a sunrise walking tour of the island where we walked a portion of the island coast and saw a bunch of sea turtles. There was a cool cooking class. And dancing which we missed. There were many guests when we were there which was nice but it would be nice if it felt a small bit busier and a bit livelier. Unfortunately we noticed someone went through our things in our room on the second day and had stolen a small amount of cash, about 600 pesos and 30 Canadian Dollars (not enough to be worth getting upset about and ruining the trip so we just let it go). We think it was likely housekeeping, but I guess impossible to know for sure. In hind sight we should have put it in the safe. Lastly it’s a great little boutique resort to relax for a few days. The food is much better than your average resort but less options. You may be repeating dishes if you are there for more than 5 days."

"Beautiful property, very clean & spacious rooms. My only complaint is the beachfront is a bit misleading. The ocean is full of growing plant life, grass, seaweed & I was unaware of that. I understand it’s part of the wildlife and needs to stay there but I wish I had known ahead of time. Still fully enjoyed my time there! :)"

Surprisingly amazing hotel.

"Beautiful property, I was very impressed with the beauty and cleanliness of this hotel, very comfortable beds and pillows, it even had a small terrace and a hammock, very quiet, you can listen the waves crashing. The breakfast was excellent, the beach is not the best, many rocks, but it was calm and we were the only people on the beach. The upstairs terrace is absolutely amazing, pool, lounge chairs and swing chairs. It will be nice to have a bar and little something to eat at night, but there are many restaurants and bars in the area. We are very pleased with our short stay, we will come back next year."

"What a gem! The shared kitchen between the 6 suites was great. We loved the pool, the sound of the ocean and watching the frigatbirds and pelicans. The room had a very comfortable bed, great AC, wifi and a cool shell shower. No TV, and we did not need it as we had ocean views. Gabriela welcomed us and was an excellent host. Thank you for thw great 6 days! "

"Our third (or fourth?) stay at this amazing property. I dream of the million dollar ocean views from suites 4 and 5 and the inner rooms are super convenient for family or group travel. (We stayed in the bottom suite this time—5, I think). The balconies on both ocean facing suites are amazing—perfect for relaxing to the sound of the waves, watching the sunrise, and viewing diving pelicans and other birds. The beds are new as of May ‘25 and extremely comfortable, with outlets built in to the headboards. The full kitchen (including a regular sized coffee pot) makes quick breakfasts and snacks easy for lazy room time. The property provides drinking water, which is a huge bonus. The safe is large enough for a full sized laptop. The property itself is a very quick 10 minute walk from the shops and restaurants in Centro as well as a 10 minute walk to the bay-side bus stop and taxi pick up point. It’s a great compromise between staying downtown and staying mid island. Finally, I can’t say enough nice things about the wonderful staff. They are always available and responsive to What’s App messages and are so incredibly helpful. I don’t think I’m allowed to mention names, but the same folks have been working there since we started coming 6 years ago. (You know who you are and we love you!) We love Villa Elena and its always our go-to when it’s available for our trip dates."

"The room was very clean and roomy. The se vice from Ricardo was second to none! The views are great, from what seems like every balcony! Having the restaurant and pool is a wonderful bonus. Definitely worth the price of admission!"
