Explore Everett’s picturesque port that looks out onto Possession Sound. The Port of Everett is one of the largest marinas on the United States’ west coast. Spend an afternoon at the port’s north shopping precinct and enjoy a fresh seafood dinner at one of the restaurants overlooking the marina and the Sound. Try a bowl of Washington’s famous clam chowder or a fillet of local salmon. Stop by Port Gardner Landing on a Sunday to browse the Everett Farmer’s Market. Check the Landing website to see when one of the free Waterfront Concert Series is held. Visit in August to see the promenade along the Sound decorated in local artworks for the Fresh Paint Festival of Artists. 

Head downtown to find Everett’s exciting cultural hub. See a performance at the Everett Performing Arts Centre and discover artworks by locals at the Schack Art Centre. The Comcast Arena, Everett’s premier venue for sports, events and concerts, is located just a few short blocks away.

Explore wider Everett to find some of the city’s numerous green spaces. Walk along a nature trail at the Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens, located in the American Legion Memorial Park on the banks of the Snohomish River. Everett is located in Puget Sound at the mouth of the Snohomish River in Washington. Reach Everett by plane to Seattle-Tacoma Airport, 42 miles (67 kilometres) south of the city. Rail, bus and ferry services connect Everett to several other cities in the region, including Seattle, Portland and Vancouver. Visit Everett in spring to enjoy Puget Sound’s magnificent snowy mountain views and whale-watching opportunities.
