Sultanhan Hotel - Special Class

"The room was great but a bit hot at the beginning. Then the AC was fixed and it was very comfortable. We appreciated the 2 bottles of water provided regularly lot. The breakfast was excellent with many choices that changed a bit every day. This is a bonus as we stayed there for 6 nights and one would want some variety. The hotel is on a lovely side street. The staff is helpful and friendly."

"Great little gem hidden from busy Istanbul streets. The owner is always around ensuring everything is done to a great standard. All the staff is welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is fantastic and there is always a nice view to the coast."

"Beware the prices this hotel’s staff quotes for airport transfers etc. is NOT what you will be charged. They charge a lot more and usually you don’t realize this until much later and unfortunately the staff takes advantage of this."

Hotel Arcadia Blue Istanbul

"Mr Emir at the reception was exemplary, but it ends there! The housekeeping were hit and miss, but mostly miss. Breakfast staff on top floor were not polite and showed bad attitude. The property only and only makes up the positive reviews for it’s location and views, but the hotel itself is very old and dated and needs a massive and thorough renovation. Air condition works but so-so and breakfast just does the job (ONLY JUST). I think a 2/5 star rating overall is adequate, however, I was seriously considering giving them a 1 star review, but that would have been too harsh. They said the hotel was fully booked but I really think it wasn’t and I only ever heard other stayers at the hotel commending the views and nothing else. Apparently there has been a change of ownership in the last few years and the last known renovation was in 2013, so these new owners have neglected the property BIG TIME! I wouldn’t advise against staying here, as I’ve stayed at worse properties, but I would warn to be EXTREMELY cautious and if you need more water in addition to the two bottles that they are supposed to put in the room each day, but don’t always, I would suggest buying from the local shop. It’s rated a 4 star hotel, but more 3 star in my honest opinion. I’ve stayed at the nearby Sura Design Boutique property and also the Doubletree by Hilton Sirkeci hotel and they are both rated 4 star, but they are miles and skies above the standards of Hotel Arcadia Blue. It was always too dark here."

"The hotel has a perfect location looking out over the sea. There is a short but uphill walk to all the main attractions. At the end of the day it is a short downhill walk."

"Small, family-run hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Quiet neighborhood but near most notable sites in the Old Town. Exceptional service. Fine restaurants in the area."

"The room had a spectacular view and without doubt, the best hotel in the area. Very accessible to all the sights near by. Clean bathroom and drinking water bottles and Coffee sachets added every day. Great stay. Thank you!"
