"We stayed here for a couple of nights for a long weekend exploring the Yorkshire Wolds. The location is great, being close to a few larger towns like Driffield and Pocklington, but also close to some amazing walking including a stretch of the Yorkshire Wolds Way. The room was really lovely, the staff friendly, and the food and beer fantastic. We will definitely stay again when we're next out this way! "
"Read all reviews thought it can't be that bad well to be honest it is but we paid around £50 for a Saturday night so what do you want it does say budget hotel so that's what you get good location though and quiet would not return or recommend though "
"Was a surprise when we arrived to how dated it was but that was the charm as thats what its about. Lovely couple who have just purchased it with great plans for the place. Great food. Will be going back again"

"This is quite possibly one of of my favourite hotels we have stayed at in the uk, the staff are welcoming and friendly, the food exceptional and the room, which was one of the rooms in the annexe was spacious and really clean.
Will definitely be making another trip here."
"Comfortable room in which you could actually control the AC for hot or cold. Rare! And the breakfast was very good, lots of choices and well prepared and presented. I’d stay again definitely"
"Loved our two night stay. Lovely room, bar and breakfast areas. Rooftop bar was an added bonus. Breakfast was really lively and all sraf very attentive. Great location. Would highly recommend. "
"Stayed in a King bed with a pull out couch for our son. The pull out had it's own attached room which was nice. Staff stored our luggage when we arrived before check in time and provided us with a map and tips on sight seeing and restaurants."
"York is a beautiful city in England that reminds me of Greenwich Village in NYC. Fascinating shops, restaurants, with an old world charm. People were friendly and helpful. One of my most favorite places I have visited. Hotel and staff were excellent and helpful."
"This hotel was lovely! Have everything you need and it’s super quiet!
Staff are so friendly and helpful. Our room was ready 4 hours early so we were able to check straight in. Really handy as they have lockers you can leave your stuff in to go back and collect after you’ve checked out, saves you having to carry big bags and cases around York with you. We will definitely be back. Perfect location to, only a 10 minute walk to York city centre. "
