Anchor Lodge

Anchor Lodge

8/10 Good
"The room was cute and very clean, the bed was comfy, but at almost $300/night, I was expecting a little more luxury. The walls are super thin, so I felt like I was sharing a room with our neighbors and their 3 upset children. The walls shook with the footsteps of the upstairs occupants. There wasnโ€™t any ac or circulation so it got stuffy. They very nicely brought us a box fan at 11pm, which I appreciated. It was super loud but it turned out to be a good thing bc it drowned out all the neighbors. Again, at $300/night more effort and thought shouldโ€™ve been put in ahead. Like providing a cute vintage inspired fan. The curtains in the bathroom were ripped and there were stickers over the toilet that were 1/2 ripped off. They should pay more attention to the details for the price tag otherwise itโ€™s an old fishing motel with a coat of paint. The location is interesting at the end of the wharf and we liked that."

"Fireplace, view, shower, tub were all fantastic. The bed was so soft it was difficult for me (as a big woman) to get on and move around as needed. The toilet was almost unusable because I am large. It would be wonderful to have disability type toilets at least in some rooms. It would really make a difference for people like me. Although the neighbor smoked and it wafted into our room, the staff were nice when I told them. Parking was pretty tight as well, but workable."
